I don't use tiktok, but my husband tells me that "PDF" is weird tiktok Newspeak for "paedophile"... But if someone this stupid knows how to convert a document to .PDF I would be shocked.
Jew hate makes you stupid
its also used on youtube, where true crime and topical news channels frequently get de-monetised if they use words like "suicide", "paedophile", "rape" etc. You hear a lot of either R word, S word, K word or "grape", "self exit/game over" and "unaliving". And of course, PDF
(Yeah, everyone hates it but if you make a living on youtube I guess you can't really afford not to play ball)
(Censorship sucks)
(When did Judaism become Satanic? Isn't Satanism a different religion?)
There are people who think that the Talmud is a secret book of evil Jewish schemes, and not a library record of centuries worth of academic debates.
The number of times random people have said "the Talmud says _____ about Jesus!" And I have to say "no I'm quite confident it really doesn't, and not every Joshua in the ancient world was your Josh"
You'd think there'd be an understanding on that, considering every other woman in the Christian Bible is named Mary but it's known that those Marys are not Jesus's mom.
may be a hot take but i think the fact minors can access 18+ content by just clicking a button that says 'yes im totally over 18 trust me' is like. totally fine tbh. its a non-issue. i dont care if curious teenagers are looking at porn. they've been doing that for as long as porn has existed. id rather teens explore their sexuality through images on the internet than rush into real life experiences when they're not ready for it yknow. the UK is trying to put stricter age verification in place (which in turn is becoming an online privacy nightmare) and like. for what. who is it helping. why is this a problem.
People panic about "But what if kids pick up bad ideas from it???"
When I was a kid, Power Rangers got banned at school because we all thought it was incredibly cool and kept trying to kick each other in the head. No-one bothered explaining "Those are trained actors and it's all practiced, they don't *actually* hurt each other, and you're not good at that yet", they just banned it.
So we went to the park after school and read Kim's smuggled copy of the Power Rangers magazine and kicked each other in the head there instead.
(This is a metaphor, but it's also literally true. So much kicking in the head.)
God forbid parents actually talk to their teenagers.
Absolutely exhausted from goyim saying they're "shocked" or they "condemn" antisemitic hate crimes when they have spent the past 2 years absolutely SCREAMING for Jewish blood. Shut up. YOU caused this.

Yehi zichrom baruch and may the injured heal speedily
Don't worry, in a few days they'll be back to denying that systemic violence against Jews exists, they just have to pay lip service to this one because it got attention.
There has been a car ramming and stabbing here in the UK during the morning service for Yom Kippur.
I have had to explain to my friends that my shul has a large 4x4 parked across the doors as well as two large concrete flowerpots in front blocking the entrance specifically to prevent car rammings breaking through into the building itself to keep the members inside protected.
We have always had security outside our shul, I know the people who keep us safe. It's terrifying to know the faces of the people who will be the first in danger were this to happen in my shul.
Two dead plus the attacker
Bomb disposal unit on scene
Police said they were called to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
At least two people were killed when a man drove a vehicle toward a crowd of people and launched a stabbing attack near a synagogue in Manchester, a northern British city, on Thursday, according to police.
A third person, who police said was "a man believed to be the offender," was shot by responding police officers and is believed to have also died.
The suspect's death "cannot currently be confirmed due to safety issues surround suspicious items on his person," police said in a statement. "The bomb disposal unit has been called and is now at the scene."
At least three other people were injured and "remain in a serious condition," police said.
The incident occurred outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in a northern suburb of the city on Thursday morning, law enforcement said.
Police reported "injuries caused by both the vehicle and stab wounds." A member of the public told responding officers "he had witnessed a car being driven towards members of the public," along with a man being stabbed, police said.
Firearms officers responded to the call, police said.
Police said they had declared a major incident, along with a "PLATO" designation, a law enforcement shorthand that means the incident was being treated as a potential marauding terrorist attack.
“my doctors are recommending I get a C-section due to [VALID MEDICAL CONCERN THAT CAN KILL MOTHER AND BABY] but I don’t want one and I think they just want more money out of me” doctors are lazy as fuck, do you really think they’re chomping at the bit to perform surgery? I can’t get them to run bloodwork and they don’t even have to do that themselves
I don’t think you guys get it. This isn’t about scheduled c-sections for no particular reason, this is about the horrific number of women experiencing high risk pregnancies coming online to speak about their desire for a ‘natural birth’ despite the impossibility of that and getting a positive feedback loop from other crunchy cult members. Your OB and a fetal medicine doctor saying you need a c-section because you have placenta previa and will probably hemorrhage and die if you attempt a vaginal delivery is so different from your OB being like “Yeah, we need to schedule a C-section for the 14th because I’m going on vacation on the 16th.” and the women proudly bragging about their intention to risk their life and that of their child are generally the anti-medicine trad wife white woman crowd and not Black women who continuously face a maternal mortality crisis due to physician negligence. I’d say this is hyperbolic but these situations keep playing out and will continue playing out until the online crunchy birth anti-medicine cult stops lying to frightened women and telling them medically necessary interventions were invented by big pharma.
You have got to stop referring to video games, fiction, drawings, etc. as "CSAM."
This defeats the entire purpose of the term "CSAM" (child sexual abuse material) which is that it's material of a child being sexually abused. The term was coined by anti-CSAM advocates because this material was being called "child porn," and it's not "porn." "Porn" generally refers to fiction, and CSAM is not fiction. It's real footage of real children being really abused.
"CSAM" is to "child abuse" as "snuff film" is to "murder." It is real filmed violence against a real human person. Games/drawings/fiction depiction child abuse as a plot point in a work of fiction are to child abuse as, e.g., murder mysteries are to murder. It's a fictional story in a fictional medium. No real human people are harmed in its production. You can argue -- and many people do -- about whether the fictional depiction "sends a bad message" or whatever, but it is not, literally, a snuff film or CSAM.
Referring to fiction as "CSAM" not only needlessly gives cover to moral panic and censorship; it also completely dilutes the harm of CSAM. The harm of CSAM is not that it's morally bad media that sends a bad message. The harm is that real human people are abused in its production.

Over 1,000 Babyn Yar victims identified after eight decades of research
The Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center identified 1,031 previously anonymous victims of the 1941 Nazi massacre through three years of painstaking research. The total database now contains 29,732 names, including 301 infants, 5,363 children, and adolescents. Researchers corrected 2,000 records with details on age, address, family ties, professions, and circumstances of death. The youngest victim was three days old, while the eldest was 104.
According to the memorial center's statistics, 301 of the victims were infants, and another 5,363 were children and adolescents.
Over 1,000 previously unnamed victims of the 1941 Babyn Yar massacre have been identified, bringing long-overdue remembrance to the forgotte
Do you sometimes feel like you’re spending a ton of time and energy providing incredibly well argued and sourced explanations to people who are in no way shape or form interested in good faith discussions?
Not really, no.
I mean, such people do seem to find my blog often and their responses often let me improve my blocklist or provide great writing prompts, but I don't write with that audience in mind.
I write mostly because it helps me work out my own thoughts.
(Those of you who are neurodivergent may relate to some of this.)
When thoughts exist only in my mind, they can be vague, circular, or incomplete. Writing requires me to commit to specific words in a linear sequence, which forces me to make implicit ideas explicit and organize fuzzy notions into coherent statements. I can't write "that thing about the situation" and expect to be understood, right? If I'm writing, I'm forced to name the thing and define the situation - and that sharpens up a lot of sloppy thinking.
My working memory kind of sucks (AuDHD), and writing lets me offload thoughts into what I'm writing...which frees up mental space/cycles for examining those thoughts, in context, without leaving things out.
Written words become objects you can observe rather than processes you're caught inside. Writing gives me a little distance and perspective I'm not otherwise able to access/generate. Y'know how meditation enthusiasts say that meditating lets them observe their own thoughts dispassionately? That's what writing does for me. It lets me evaluate my own thinking more objectively, which helps me spot contradictions, gaps, or assumptions.
Speaking and internal thought move quickly, often skipping steps. Writing is slower, and forces me through the intermediate steps of reasoning. This helps reveal where my reasoning breaks down or where I'm making leaps without support.
When I'm writing, though, the audience I imagine reading is made of people like these.
I've only posted a few, but I get messages and Asks like this regularly.
I got this one just yesterday:
So it turns out that the readers I imagine writing for...actually exist.
And really, that shouldn't be surprising.
It would be easy to believe from the behavior on Tumblr that most of the world is made of hateful people who differ mostly in which rationalizations they use as poor replacement for thinking...but I don't think that's reality.
I've been telling my kids since they were very young that about 30% of every population is just awful.
That means ~30% of Americans, ~30% of Ukrainians, ~30% of Presbyterians, 30% of high-masking autistics, 30% of one-legged, left-handed bisexual redheads.
~30% of every population can't be moved by facts or reason, and there's not a lot we can do about that.
You might think from online behaviors that the ratio has gone from ~30% to ~70% in recent years, but I don't think that's true.
I think the ratio has stayed at about 30%, but that the algorithm makes that proportion exponentially louder than they've ever been. That creates the illusion that they're a greater proportion than they are.
Here's the thing, Anon: You and I are not alone in wanting more supported, reasoned perspectives- It just feels that way.
There are a lot more of us than I think we realize, because the algorithm doesn't amplify support and reason - it amplifies emotion, confirmation bias, and echo chambers.
The business model of social media, focused as it is on engagement, isn't likely to be reformed any time soon.
So in the meanwhile, I want to produce more thoughtful content, support more thoughtful content, and share more thoughtful content...because I think a lot of us are starving for it.
And that doesn't feel like a waste of effort either.

The absolute audacity of people living comfortably and peacefully pontificating to people who have been surviving a war zone for two years. Absolute proof that these so called activists don't actually give a solitary shit about the welfare of Palestinians or don't even have the modicum of respect for them to listen to what they actually want.
You know, the day I saw that everyone and their dog (except Hamas, which is pending) had signed onto the Trump plan, my reaction went like this:
1) "thank G-d, an end to it all"
2) "fuck. If this goes through Trump is going to get so much more credit than he deserves in the history books"
3) "fuck it. If this goes through I'll thank G-d Trump pulled it off and go back to fighting him with all I've got the next day."
4) "let it go through. Let it go through and let the international community pretty quickly take it away from Trump and Blair to give the Gazans a fair shake. But get them out from under Hamas and get peace in motion. Let it go through."
And that's the difference between actually caring about Palestinians and cosplaying as activists.
I'll literally take the L on Trump for a day if it means no more loss of life. And anyone who's followed me for more than three minutes knows my opinion on that tangerine fuckhead.
Incidentally, this was listed as a related story:
Politically independent Gaza City mayor, academics and businessmen warn of total economic and infrastructural collapse in first joint letter
If this goes through, we really could see peace in our lifetimes.

The Palestinians must reject this surrender deal.
quote-tweet by IhabHassane:
Do you live in Gaza under bombardment? No. Do you live in a tent? No. Did your house get bombed? No. Have you lost a family member? No. Are you displaced? No. Did you sleep on the street? No. Have you been injured? No. Have you gone hungry? No. Then shut the fuck up.
tweet by HowidyHamza, different thread:
I opened my feed today to see countless posts by Gazans desperate to see an end to this war by any way possible and the huge disappointment they have after many of those who claimed to stand with them during the past two years to see them asking the Gazans to continue get killed because they don't like the Trump proposal to end the war. Shame on everyone who used their name and refuses to listen to their needs.

meanwhile, those who claim to care about ending this:
Doctor calls you with your bloodwork results and just says “I’m really mad at you” and then hangs up
Trump's SUCH a cunt and there should be a mechanism for me to transfer all the stress I feel - about being a poor person who needs various social programs in order to live - onto Republican shitheads.
Let it fuck up THEIR blood pressure instead and see how THEY like being in fight-or-flight mode.
