I haven't seen any posts for you in a while! I'm glad to see one c: also that last comic about people saying stuff like how everyone's going to get it and things like that is massively relatable. I've had to sit by my friend group saying that we should end the lockdown now and I'm just sitting here immunocompromised and with other issues that make me at risk like :)))
I’ve been busy with finals as well as not getting much care for my pain so- making posts for the blog has been low on my priority but now I have a lot of material for after finals 😭
A friend of mine mentioned that mentality like that is so… narrow. Because the people think “everyone” and the people who die are not them and not the people around them. It just sucks to have this kind of pressure that the Chronically Ill/Disabled community is getting from all of this.
Stay safe! Stay healthy! And take care!
I’m... right here??
Hi all,
I’m looking for people who have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome to take part in a study. I have EDS myself and I have decided that I want to do psychology research into it for my psychology undergraduate dissertation.
The study is looking at how beliefs of stigmatisation by others, self-stigmatisation and perceived control impact life satisfaction in those with EDS. This is an area which hasnt been explored in EDS research before and so the research will be the first of it’s kind! Also the study is completely anonymous so no one will know who has taken part.
Please let me know if you are interested or not or if you have any questions at all let me know! Please dont feel like you have to take part, but it would be great if you could, or even if you could just share this post!
All the best!
This is the link for anyone who wants to do the study -

It’s been 5 years since this has been active but a reminder that while The Happenings are going on- Chronically Ill folks are having issues getting their usual healthcare. So please be patient with people out there!
Low on Salt, Low on Spell Slots: Medication
On the upside- my dizzy spells have greatly improved. Unfortunately, my anxiety tries to convince me that I’m dying.
Low on Salt, Low on Spell Slots: Chronic Pain
I regret doing one (1) day of labor lifting heavy things. I hurt for a week after
Low On Salt, Low on Spell Slots: Why Legs, Why???
Can joints just- stop? Just not do the pain thing when I need to go to class?
Low on Salt, Low on Spell Slots: Doors
Hurting my shoulder and wrist trying to open a fire door, that’s a new one.
Low on Salt, Low on Spell Slots #12: Capitalism
I’ve been jumping from pharmacy to pharmacy the last two months to have enough of my meds as I take it every day and the last time I stopped taking it for tests I could really only walk around my house and even then I spent much of my time laying down and feeling gross and dizzy. Unfortunately, capitalism is trying to mess up my school year so I feel like I did over winter break. Wonderful.
Low on Spell Slots #11: Chronic Pain? Didn’t Know She Was There

Low on Spell Slots: Please? No? UGH
Don’t you love it when your insurance doesn’t help you out?
Low on Spell Slots #9: Oh boy.
So I finally got my tests done after 6 months of waiting only to find out I also have EDS (hyperflexible EDS specifically) so- fun fun. Got referred to physical therapy before I can screw up my hands by accident.
Low On Spell Slots 8: Ah Yes “Low Salt’
School food tends to have low sodium because it’s healthy. Sure sure, not everyone has health problems that makes them need more sodium- I can understand. What I DON’T get is why a giant school with a giant student housing program puts TWO SALT SHAKERS IN THE DINNING COMMONS.
Follow up: I am a blessed bean to have friends on my school discord who are good beans.

Low on Spell Slots 7: Temperature Regulation
Don’t you love it when “mild” temperatures in your area feel like death because your body can’t take temperature.
Low on Spell Slots 6: Doubt
The thing about being chronically ill when you aren’t sure how long you will be insured is that you’re very skeptical when people say that they’ll make sure you aren’t drowned in medical bills so you can be well enough to be a decently productive human being.
