Hey everyone!

This post is kinda out of the blue and not really anything to do with my blog theme, but I’d like to talk about something for a minute :)

I am a final year high school student taking media studies a subject, and I’m required to create a photography project with a strong message behind it. The message I’ve chosen is breaking free of gender boundaries, and living lives irrespective of how society says you should act because of your gender. I plan to take photos of female models wearing ‘masculine’ clothing and performing ‘masculine’ actions as well as male models wearing ‘feminine’ clothing and performing ‘feminine’ actions.

My folio requires me to conduct market research, that is, how my target audiences already respond to the topic, and how I would be able to engage them. To help with this, I’ve created a short survey through Google Forms to review people’s opinions and ideas surrounding gender conformity.

The survey will NOT require your name, tumblr url, passwords, or any other sensitive information. The only information you will be asked to provide is your age and what gender you identify as, alongside questions of how you perceive gender in society.

‘LOVING VINCENT,’ an Animated Film Featuring 12 Oil Paintings per Second by Over 100 Painters

‘Loving Vincent’ will be the world’s first feature length painted animation, with every shot painted with oil paints on canvas, just as Van Gogh himself painted. Written & Directed by Dorota Kobiela & Hugh Welchman, produced by Poland’s BreakThru Films & UK’s Trademark Films.  The film is scheduled for a 2017 release.
