Chicago concert summary:

Overall mood freezing but dedicated, high on energy, united. Nippy.

Despite how miserably cold it was, it was a great show. Chicagoans have this thing where they are proud of collectively going about their lives withstanding the temperature. It really makes us feel like a community.

I know I said it was half full but by the time Louis went on I'd say 3/4 full. Capacity is 30,000!

Louis said he was cold several times. But he unzipped his jumper for the encore and barricade so we did get tank top Louis and his nip slip

Chaos sprite energy at least 8 out of 10 - he just seemed to be in his element and ready to play

During ATT/SIBWAWC Megamix, the bar lights went rainbow for part of it, in addition to the raimbow footlights

Security couldn't keep people out of the aisles from dancing. There were balloons and balls in the pit. The organizers of the lights project were ON IT. People were making new friends. Good vibes.

Chicago in Chicago was excellent and loud and most people participated in the rainbow 🌈 lights project for it. Louis seemed pleased - he said it was fooking incredible right after

By far the most pride flags of the 3 shows I've attended.

Show lighting was different - the venue didn't have the multiple screens on stage like usual, but it did have huge vertical bar lights

I can imagine this being incredibly helpful for some people with OCD, as well as folks like me with anxiety disorders combined with ADHD (so lack of executive function which leads to frequently forgetting things which leads to legitimizing the fears from the anxiety since a lot of the time I DID forget The Thing…)
