Charles' telepathic powers manifested themselves when he was as young as ten years, progressively getting stronger and more controlled with time. Charles would constantly use his powers to link his mind to his mother,s in an attempt at shielding her from the pain inflicted by his abusive step-father. A brilliant student intent on undertaking graduate studies, Charles entered Oxford University, particularly passionate about genetic mutation. Believing both humans and mutants could peacefully coexist, Xavier devoted his life to protecting humanity from evil mutants and safeguarding innocent mutants from human oppression.

Inheriting his family's fortune, Charles first used his childhood mansion as a place where young mutants could feel at home, later accepting a role as Clifton's faculty advisor for the Abilities Program, with the few youths staying with him soon to follow.

Bobby Drake "Iceman" || Shawn Ashmore [Flexible] || Daemon: up to player || Student || Player: n/a

Bobby's mutant abilities first manifested themselves at a young age when he couldn't stop himself from feeling cold and shivering. But it wasn't until Rocky Beasely, the school bully, attacked him, that he discovered his powers, accidentally and in a fit of panic encasing Rocky in a block of ice. However, such a feat brought Bobby naught but trouble, with the people of his town believing him to be a dangerous mutant and organising a lynch mob. With the mob breaking into the Drake household, the local sheriff decided to take Bobby into custody, considering things to have gotten out of hand.

The story was quick to reach Professor Xavier, contacting and convincing Bobby to enrol in Clifton University, ensuring him a safe place for him to stay and where he could come to learn how to properly control his powers.

Peter Parker || Andrew Garfield || Daemon: Dingo || Student || Player: Jo

Orphaned at a young age, Peter Parker went to live with his uncle and aunt, Ben and May Parker. Extremely bright and with a particular skill and interest for science, Parker was always a high honours student, though it often made him a social outcast. While attending a public exhibition about nuclear waste, Peter was bitten by a radioactive spider irradiated by a particle accelerator used in the exhibition, gaining the proportionate powers of an arachnid, such as incredible strength, agility, and the ability to climb walls, later developing a gadget of his own design that let him fire adhesive webbing similar to that of a spider. Peter attempted to make some money out of his new abilities, finding an ad about remaining three minutes on a ring with a professional wrestler. Things took a wrong turn for Peter, however, when he didn’t act to stop an escaping thief, claiming it wasn’t his responsibility to do so, only to find out later that that same thief had mugged and murdered his uncle Ben, realising with great remorse that with power comes responsibility.

Peter’s powers, as well as his talent with science and his desire to redeem himself for the events leading up to his uncle’s death, was what granted him a place at Clifton.

Steve Rogers had been prone to sickness all his life, and while he was physically weak, his will was everything but. A great ambition and a strong sense of right and wrong were what lead him to be chosen to be the test subject for the Super Soldier Serum, created by Dr. Abraham Erskine and one Howard Stark. The serum enhanced his physical appearance and strength, his strong will and determination to fight alongside U.S. soldiers earning him the title of Captain America, fighting in World War II. The outcome of the fight, however, didn’t turn out well for Captain Rogers. He was thought dead after he crashed the plane he was in into the ocean to prevent it from reaching the United States, but, after extensive searches and several decades, he was finally found, frozen, but still alive, in the ice.

Rogers was offered a place in Clifton University with hopes that it would be of aid to him while trying to adjust to this new world he now found himself in.

Powers and abilities: Artificially enhanced physiology (Peak human strength, speed, durability, healing, and longevity). Advanced military operator.

Logan Howlett || Hugh Jackman || Daemon: Wolverine || Staff || Player: Vanessa

Logan was born in the late 1880’s in Canada, fleeing from his parents’ place after a traumatic event in which the bone claws that emerge from the back of his hands first manifested. Logan is ushered into the Canadian military during World War I, continuing as a soldier-of-fortune until he was recruited by Team X, where he was given false memory implants. He is later able to break free of the mental control and leaves the Team X, however, he was shortly after kidnapped by the Weapon X program, where he remained captive and experimented on, having unbreakable adamantium forcibly fused into his bones.

After finally leaving the Weapon X program, he is recruited and given a chance at recovering his original memories by both Headmaster Fury and Professor Charles Xavier, in exchange of him taking the role of faculty advisor for the Combat program at Clifton.

Powers and abilities: Adamantium claws and skeleton.Regenerative healing factor. Delayed ageing. Superhuman strength, agility, and stamina. Master combatant.

Wade Wilson || Ryan Reynolds || Daemon: Shapeshifter  || Student || Player: Ada

Wade Wilson spent his formative years in an abusive environment eventually growing up to be a mercenary known as the merc with a mouth. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer Wade willingly signed up for a government funded program; they agreed to cure his cancer and offered him a steady paying job for killing people. Which Wade likes, a lot. Killing people. However unbeknownst to Wade he was simply a pawn in a bigger scheme and he was experimented on and tortured for years, he and his daemon. After the events of the island, where Wade was held for many years, the effects became blatantly obvious. 

As he was recruited for the program while still in his youth his daemon never had a chance to settle and following the events of the experimentation, and Wade’s severe psychotic break, his daemon never had a chance to truly settle. It reflects just how broken and twisted Wade is as it is constantly shifting and may never truly settle. Wade suffers from delusions, frequent auditory hallucinations and occasionally visual ones as well; he has periods of disassociation and suffers from mood swings mild paranoia as well as insomnia. Wade is emotionally disturbed and has some sociopathic tendencies although he has never been formally diagnosed.

The physical affects it left on Wade however are that much more obvious besides his appearance, as he is now horrible disfigured, he also retains certain abilities; teleportation, a highly advanced healing factor, an adamantium skeletal system as well as twin swords grafted into his arms and optic blasts. These abilities added to his already impressive skillset were perfect for his line of work. However after S.H.I.E.L.D caught up with him and he was given a choice incarceration for the rest of his life, however long that may be, or rehabilitation. Wade choose rehabilitation and was there after enrolled in Clifton University.

Natasha Romanoff || Scarlett Johansson || Daemon: Poison dart frog || Student || Player: Karen

Born in Vogograd around 1995, Romanov was orphaned as an infant when her parents died in a fire. She was rescued by Ivan Petrovich, who adopted and cared for her until she was taken by the Red Room at age five. Natasha was recruited to become part of the Black Widow Program, a team of elite female sleeper agents and was trained to become a master spy and assassin. She has an extensive knowledge of martial arts, is an expert acrobat, marksman, can speak several languages fluently including, but not limited to, Russian, English, French, German, Chinese, Japanese; she possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations, she believes she was a ballet dancer at some point -her memories are foggy and broken due to the multiple attempts of brainwashing she endured while in the facility-, she is a very effective strategist, tactician, and field commander, can hack into all computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security with ease and is an expert in the field of seduction. Besides the training and the brainwashing the Red Room also treated her with a rough version of the Super Soldier serum which enhanced her physiology (strength, speed, agility, reflexes, durability, senses, immune system -plus a healing factor- were all boosted with the treatment.) After a mission in Sao Paulo she was intercepted by SHIELD on her way to the safe house and is recruited to join them.

Amora the Enchantress || Katheryn Winnick || Daemon: White tiger || Staff || Player: Maia

A master of magic, Amora grew up close to the royal family in Asgard. When prince Loki was of age and had grown into the discovery of his magic she was assigned as his tutor. She took on the task, only because she knew that it was less of a request and more of an order. She was not that much older than the young prince but she was seen as somewhat of a prodigy and the best there was so far. She taught him all she could for a while, but she eventually became somewhat jealous once she began to see just how powerful he could become. Eventually she left Asgard to travel the nine realms to find herself and more power, and eventually ended up on Midgard, but not after a series of rather violent occurrences that had happened in other realms that had turned Amora into something much darker than what she had been before. Still she maintained her cover and eventually ended up teaching classes for Midgardians with magic abilities at Clifton University. Despite her willingness to share knowledge she hides within her many a dark secret, things that she does not wish to share with others. Still, she is known to be difficult, manipulative and harsh, and this intimidates many of her pupils but she is the only magic instructor at the school so students have to brave her class regardless.

Clint lost both his parents at a very young age in a car crash, staying in an orphanage for six years until he and his brother Barney Barton ran away to join the Carson Carnival of Travelling Wonders, getting the attention of the Swordsman for his ability with a bow. The Swordsman took Clint as his assistant and taught him to become a master archer, soon becoming a star carnival attraction, calling himself Hawkeye, and earning him the title of “The world’s greatest marksman”. Clint later found the Swordsman was stealing money from the carnival, and to keep him from taking him to the authorities, he beat Clint and left him for dead.

Clint went through a couple different carnivals and circuses before his skill gained him Clifton’s attention, offering him a place in the university soon after.

Powers and abilities: Master archer. Expert marksman, acrobat, and martial artist. Skilled tactician. Weapons proficiency.

With extensive military training and highly trained in multiple martial arts and hand to hand combat, as well as with dedication and discipline, Phil Coulson managed to make his way into one of the most important intelligence agencies in the country, soon becoming an important agent and Fury’s right-hand man. Coulson grew up being a huge fan of Captain America, finding great admiration in his strong sense of right and wrong.

When Howard Stark died and the school passed to government’s hands, Agent Coulson, along with Nick Fury and several other Agents, were sent to Clifton to keep things running properly.

Powers and abilities: Trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Experienced in espionage, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a variety of weapons.

Maria Hill lost her mother the day of her birth, an event that her father never forgave her for, which made Maria a cold hearted person, something that has proved itself useful at the time of making the right decisions. With a strong personality and skill, she got noticed by various heads of state and governments around the world and was soon offered a job as an agent. She’s experienced in espionage, hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and with the use of a variety of weapons. 

Agent Hill was sent to Clifton, along with Fury, Agent Coulson, and several other agents, to keep things running properly.

Powers and abilities: Trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Experienced in espionage, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a variety of weapons.

Bruce Banner || Mark Ruffalo [Flexible] || Daemon: Up to player || Staff || Player: n/a

Scientist Bruce Banner found himself in the middle of a gamma radiation blast due to one of his experiments gone wrong, absorbing massive amounts of radiation. He awoke later in the infirmary with seemingly no injuries. Later that night, however, he found himself turning into an uncontrollable, rampaging monster. Banner was later able to return to his usual form, but it wasn’t without more than one casualty and plenty of property damage. Stress and anger are the Hulk’s principal triggers, and it took Bruce countless of efforts and spent hours trying to get a grasp at controlling it.

Even with his incident, Bruce was still one of the most renowned men in his field, with Headmaster Fury offering him the role of faculty advisor for the Academics program at Clifton.

Powers and abilities: Genius-level intelligence. Transformation into the Hulk. Superhuman strength, stamina, and leaping ability. Adaptation to hostile habitats.

Being the son of one Howard Stark, Tony grew up surrounded by the latest advances in technology, soon developing a great interest and talent of his own, inheriting his father’s company after his death.  Of course, being the head of a company that develops and manufactures advanced weapons gave Stark more than a few controversies and problems, one of them being his kidnapping by a terrorist organisation, ordering him to manufacture his own weapons for them. While being captured, Tony sustained several injuries, with shrapnel moving towards his heart; he managed to survive, however, when physicist and fellow prisoner, Ho Yinsen, constructs a magnetic chest plate to keep the shrapnel from reaching Tony’s heart. In secret, Stark and Yinsen design a suit of powered armour that becomes the key for Tony’s escape. Once home, he further developed the arc reactor in his chest and the suit of armour, though no one suspects Stark of being Iron Man as he keeps an image of rich playboy and industrialist. 

Even while being arrogant and self-centered, Tony’s intelligence and talent -as well as being the son of one of the founders of the school- earned him a place in Clifton.

Powers and abilities: Genius-level intellect. When using his armour, Tony has superhuman strength and speed, flight, repulsor rays, smart missiles, self-contained life-support system and environmental protection, among others.

Thor Odinson || Chris Hemsworth || Daemon: Lion || Student || Player: Licha

Thor is the God of Thunder, wielder of thunder and heir to the throne of Asgard. Being raised among luxuries and the best of treatments lead the thunderer to grow with a strong sense of self-worth, with a thirst for the thrill of battle and with a foolish recklessness. His actions had been often considered brash, the name he had made for himself being more about his brute force in the battlefield rather than for a calm temper at the time of making decisions. He is extremely loyal and protective, though at times his actions may be at odds with his words, being hot headed and more than a little impatient. He had once been extremely close with his younger brother Loki, until the latter started drifting apart.

Wishing for him to learn some humility, the All-Father sent him, as well as Loki, to Earth, hoping the change would leave a good mark in the thunderer.

Powers and abilities: Wielder of Mjolnir. Lightning and rain manipulation. Godlike invulnerability. Master combatant. Superhuman strength, durability, stamina, and longevity.

Loki is Thor’s younger brother and the second Prince to the throne of Asgard, a lover of tricks and magic, his seidr only growing stronger, filling him with a strong sense of pride for what he has been able to accomplish with it. When Loki was but a child, barely in the cusp of manhood, he was always seen following wherever the thunderer may go, always eager to be by his side and looking up to him, the two brothers being as close as they could be. But of course, being always the second in line -second born, second Prince, second to be chosen for the warrior’s lines-, and never quite being able to match the Golden Son of Asgard, took its toll on him, leaving a bitterness growing inside him, pushing the brothers apart, with Loki staying to his books and spells and leaving Thor to his sparring and friends.

But now, meaning for the brothers to learn from their experience, the All-Father has chosen to send them to Earth, having them attend to Clifton University, a task the trickster considers to be beyond dull and foolish, but having no other choice but to comply.
