Another popular one, especially in wealthier families, was that your son would “move to Europe,” and then a few months later your “niece” would move into town and live in his old bedroom.
Trans isn’t new. We just have to know how to look for it in history.
Just as a reminder: the reason we don’t see a lot of trans history is because it was actively erased. Literally.
Germany had a thriving LGBTQ community in the early 20th century, before the Nazis came around. Germans, specifically Magus Hirshfeld, literally coined the term “transsexual” and performed the first modern SRS in the 1920’s. Then the Nazis came and sent them all to camps and burned their books. One of the first major Nazi book burnings was the library of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft. We were purposefully erased from history.
We’ve always existed, and the people that oppose our existence need to know who they’re in company with.

deepen the shadows bro. it'll be ok
i meant art-wise but if any dark sorcerers see this. you do you
Spiritually, 3 am is the darkest hour of the night. The people who stay up late but not insanely late have gone to bed, people who wake up early but not insanely early are yet to wake up. The only people who are awake are the night shift, and the insane.
before I left for work today I on a whim pulled a random tarot card and I got death which is a positive card in general but it also made me laugh because I asked the cards "What's my work shift at the funeral home gonna be like today?" And I got death. Like yes ha ha you guys are hilarious. Making me pull that very on the nose card. Yes, death will be there it will be death-like at the funeral home. very funny
Writing advice from my uni teachers:
If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says “I’m mad” but they can say it in 100 other ways.
Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way you’re only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.
Don’t overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.
Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.
This is legit good writing advice, especially the first bullet point! In playwriting class we did a bit where every bit of dialogue had to be an accusatory question and it was glorious.
“Cats don’t actually love you”
A cat is a small creature in the middle of the food chain that is fully aware that you are a very large thing that could stomp its head in at any moment and yet it chooses to rest its tiny little head on your leg for a nap and spreads out on the floor near you exposing its belly and its most sensitive organs. It brings dead mice and bugs to you to share food.
Don’t you get it? This tiny thing trusts you. It wants to help you too. It licks your leg thinking that it’s helping. It kneads on you to find comfort. It shares its body warmth with you in the cold and gives you your space in the heat. It hisses at other mammals it sees outside including other cats in an effort to protect its family.
Cats love you so so much. But they will keep trying to eat plastic.
being self aware suuuucks like yeah this thought pattern/behavior is stupid and pointless and a symptom. i know this. [does it anyways
preforming my compulsions while rolling my eyes to show i know theyre irrational
Ya'll ever think that except for stuff like ren fairs are the only time adults get to play when the human animal never stops needing play behavior?
the cultural perception that play is an inherently childish thing is one of the worst ideas to come out of modern civilization (in my very not-humble and objectively correct opinion)
Who else has thousands of ideas but unfortunately your mortal form is constantly at 'low battery' energy levels?

Whatever Zoey’s yapping about—it’s valid HAHA
I thought I was done drawing them after a month-long break, but I’m such a sucker for translating energy—and these three embody their characters so much, it’s insane.
Also, the amount of joy I get from drawing Rei Ami's expressions LMFAOOO I swear I'm this 🤏 close to turning Rei Ami into a full expression study, girlie is so animated I can draw her millisecond gestures hasjkdhahaha
