-To his knowledge, he thought he had put in his contact to cover his yellow eye. But he did not. He hadn’t covered his eye in about two months- which was how long the designer was struggling to get through the nightmare and for whatever reason, his sleep-addled mind was exhausted and unaware of his actions.
Which was repeating now, with Cici looking at Radley and not registering what was happening. “What?” The designer mumbled with a jolt of his head falling over. “I’m going to strip butt-naked and make out with you, and then we’ll have sex.” Radley retorted, resting his weight onto one side as he gave Cici a leveled look. Instead of Cici’s usual quips or responses, the designer blinked and said, “You’re “dating” Sun. She won’t appreciate you cheating.” Too blunt. Unaware. Unregulated responses. The designer was tired and out of creative snips. He was either super burned out, or these nightmares were psychologically messing with the other’s head.
“Cici. Go to your room, I’ll bring some breakfast and tell Sal to knock you unconscious at a reasonable time today.” Radley instructed, standing upright as he reached for his dress pants draped over the bed’s corner. The other blinked and said, albeit confused, “Sal doesn’t work today?”

The soil testing equipment on Curiosity makes a buzzing noise and the pitch of the noise changes depending on what part of an experiment Curiosity is performing, this is the way Curiosity sings to itself.
So some of the finest minds currently alive decided to take incredibly expensive important scientific equipment and mess with it until they worked out how to move in just the right way to sing Happy Birthday, then someone made a cake on Curiosity’s birthday and took it into Mission control so that a room full of brilliant scientists and engineers could throw a birthday party for a non-autonomous robot 225 million kilometres away and listen to it sing the first ever song sung on Mars*, which was Happy Birthday.
This isn’t a sad story, this a happy story about the ridiculousness of humans and the way we love things. We built a little robot and called it Curiosity and flung it into the star to go and explore places we can’t get to because it’s name is in our nature and then just because we could, we taught it how to sing.
That’s not sad, that’s awesome.
*this is different from the first song ever played on mars (Reach For The Stars by Will.I.Am) which happened the year before, singing is different from playing
I keep seeing speculation about the second cookie carved on BSC's temple in that recent image in the rebirth stream being his deceased wife/partner, but honestly I don't know if I want that to be the case. It's entirely possible it could not be someone he had that sort of relationship with. It's possible it could just be another important cookie from the past of the spice lands. Don't get me wrong it is interesting to speculate about him having had a partner in the past but I feel like we would've seen or heard about this character before if that was truly the case(unless he erased all memory of them,, which I doubt). I feel like him having a deceased partner would just be used to water down his corruption to only being about their death and not centuries of watching everything around him crumble. And as an excuse to harass anyone who ships bsc with anyone but said dead partner no doubt,,, why can't some (EMPHASIS ON SOME) crk fans just be normal about ships oh my god. I don't hate the idea of him having once had a partner I just don't know if it should be the route they take with him. He still experienced more loss than anyone should ever have to without having a dead partner.
In my brain, I can *see* there being a potential partner or maybe a right hand that the public perceived as a lover of the Herald of Change.
But for one reason or another, that image (even blurred and zoomed in by 1000%, looking like First Grain Cookie from Witche's Castle and I dunno if there want confirmation on which Witch made Herald of Change/Burning Spice- but the image looks suspiciously like First Grain Cookie.
Granted it wouldn't make sense for her to be Burning Spice's creator but the image seems to display something of a hat.
For all we know, it could be a hijab/head scarf with a crown placed on top.
Agreeing on you OP about CR fans needing to be normal. I've *seen* shipping wars and far too many newcomers get scared off by some butt-hurt kid who thinks everything should be right by their standards. But we should keep in mind that most of the people who start shipping wars have little to no Internet manners or lack any awareness of how to act online.
The digital world is so dangerous now. One wrong move, one wrong message; and someone is bound to get hurt. Forbid the idea that CR fans have no self awareness that what they are doing *will* follow them into the real world.
Got off track there; but I'm agreeing with all of this OP. What are your thoughts on BSC potentially having multiple partners throughout his life until his corruption? If there are many through out time and history of kingdoms falling and thriving, is it possible for there to be too many and thus, in addition to him falling into corruption due to repeated history, that all the faces of his past partners blur and he can't understand if what he experienced was someone *actually* loving him or was it a facade?
I do find the idea of him having had multiple partners throughout his life to be an interesting one. With how long he's been around and how few other cookies there are that share his life span I highly doubt he only had one if he ever had any. There was probably a point where he just stopped trying to love anyone in that way after realizing he'd always outlive them though. Also I think everything just kinda started to blur together for him at some point and unfortunately any of those partners would not be an exception.

How do I check what my account’s email address is?
If you are logged in:
Go to your Preferences page (Select "Hi, [USERNAME]!" at the top of the page, and choose "My Preferences" from the drop-down list)
Click on the “Change Email” button at the top of the page
Your email address will be listed on that page, next to “Current email”
If you are not logged in:
Check your email account for recent emails from AO3, such as subscription notifications or kudos and comment emails.
Look at the “To:” field to see what email address is associated with your account.
You will need to enter this email address exactly as it is listed here in order to receive a password reset email.
How do I change my email address? What if I don't have access to my old email address?
You don't need access to your old email address to change it to a new one, as long as you also know your current password.
Log in
Go to your Preferences page (Select "Hi, [USERNAME]!" at the top of the page, and choose "My Preferences" from the drop-down list)
Click on the “Change Email” button at the top of the page
In both the “New email” and “Enter new email again” fields, enter an email address that you have access to
In the “Password” field, enter your current password
Click the “Confirm Email” button

Check your new email address for an email titled “[AO3] Confirm your email change”

I know my current password, but I'm afraid my password is insecure. How can I change my password to a stronger one?
First, refer to the above instructions for checking or updating your email address, so that you can receive a password reset in case your password is insecure. Then:
Log in

The most likely reasons the password reset didn't work are:
You are entering the wrong email address for your AO3 account. Refer to the above instructions on how to check what your account's email address is.
Your email provider is blocking emails from AO3 or sending them to spam/social folders. Search for an email titled “[AO3] Reset your password”.
Your email account doesn't have enough storage and can't receive new emails. You'll need to delete old emails, photos, or videos to empty your storage before requesting a password reset.
You requested multiple password resets in a short time period, resulting in either a “Retry later” page or the link in the first password reset email becoming invalid. Please wait at least one hour before trying again, only submit the form once, and make sure you are using the link in the most recent password reset email.
The new password you chose was insecure, so you can't use it to log back in. You will need to reset your password again and select a more secure password this time. You can use a password generator to choose a stronger password.

You will need to submit a Support ticket containing the following information:
your username
your account’s current email address (if you know it)
an email address that you can access and would like to update your account's email to (enter this email into the Email field so we can contact you)
Support will begin the account recovery process with you, which will ask you for further proof of account ownership. Please be patient, as there are many AO3 users who are also submitting account recovery tickets right now.

if you get a comment from someone claiming to be from AO3 in any way, shape or form, IT IS A SCAM.
if you get a comment from someone claiming they work with AO3 and that your AO3 account has been compromised or restricted somehow and that you must contact xyz or open a link they give, IT IS A SCAM.
they want to hack your account and/or steal your credit card/personal information (because the link they want you to click on will require your login info and/or your other sensitive information!!!!)
*the same scam tactic can be seen on tumblr where these scammers claim to be someone from tumblr team too
