Introduction post because I feel weird without having a door to enter my blog

I'm moonlit-orchid aka Moon

This blog is a very messy scrapbook of things I like and that are consuming my thoughts at any given moment (and could change like the wind). I'm not very consistent in one fandom but you better believe I still love that thing even if I don't post about it as much as I used to.

Occasionally I write fanfiction and draw fanart (mostly traditionally) and upload it here. My og tags were #angeldraws, #myart, and #angelwrites (I think. I don't know how consistent I was with one tag). As I'm prone to wanting to change my blog and it's likely I may one day want to change it again, I'll be tagging them as #myart and #mywriting from now on (so I don't need to change my tag every single time I spontaneously rebrand '=v= )

I do not post nsfw content, however I do have the tendency to curse on occasion (as we all do), and sometimes I may not always tag something that should have a trigger warning, especially when I reblog stuff (I sometimes don't tag reblogs at all...) so that's a thing to know if you're exploring my lil place here.

Some things I like: Star Trek TOS, Yugioh, Naruto, the Super Mario Brothers movie, Howls moving castle and other Ghibli movies (and also the HMC book), Octonauts, Sherlock Holmes (acd canon and the Sherlock and Co podcast), Professor Layton and Pheonix Wright (the game that introduced me to them both is Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright so now in my mind the two universes are one), Horrid Henry, My hero academia, Black Clover, Assassination Classroom (probably the only korokara shipper in the planet/j)and more. Out of the series mentioned, I've only finished Yugioh 5ds and Zexal and assassination classroom ^~^' (I'm bad with shows) so I may not always get characters accurate in fan art and fanfiction (or whenever I produce it). My current main fixation is Dragon Ball, I may have a problem actually

I also have an ao3 where I am (very slowly) publishing fics!

Happy Pride Month to *me*, the queer Muslim who's about to graduate from their alim course today wearing a binder under their abayah, and carrying tiny dots of colour on their fingernails to carry pride flags with them 👼🏻

On my left hand, I have the lesbian flag and the asexual flag, both mine.

On my right, I have my genderfluid flag. And the trans flag for all the trans people in the world, for the trans people who've been killed and are being persecuted for being themselves, for the trans people who are told to 'not act upon their feelings' by old men in borrowed Arab clothing who go home to do as they please while others serve them to give them the time they need to sit and decide that they must know what being trans truly is.

All the flags I carry are for everyone, too, of course. I am one of the lesbians, the asexuals, the genderfluids, and I carry us all to my religious graduation as a private "fuck you" to the people who think faith is for the straight and cis and that our existence is a sin. But the trans flag especially is my deliberate tribute, I carry it for all of my trans siblings. I'm sorry I'm not brave enough to do more, to make a scene, to say something. I'm especially sorry to the trans Muslims; I am now going to be one of the religious teachers yet I can't say anything, mostly because I am scared.

But either way, I carry your flags for you.
