thinking about making an entire new account tbh.
Ok but genuine question because im having impostor syndrome: if i am non dysphoric doesn't that mean i "choose" to be trans? Like if im ok with living as my agab but i like being non binary better then i "choose" to be this non binary right?
Youâre not choosing to be transâyouâre choosing to identify as trans. Theyâre similar things but theyâre different. You didnât make the choice to be nonbinary, you made the choice to look at the nonbinary label and think âOh, that fits, Iâm going to describe myself as that!â
So no, youâre not choosing to be trans, youâre completely valid as a nondysphoric trans person. You are trans and youâre valid and part of the community.Â
Oh, oh my god, never thought of it like that, thank you
Iâm glad I could help you out, friend! Sending my love <3

when shrek said get out of my swamp he was talking solely to sysmeds. no i will not elaborate.
u know when there's an article or something abt a historical person and everyone is like "don't try to apply modern gender labels to her, this was clearly a woman who cross-dressed for better opportunities/education/safety!" and I'm like sure that tracks, there's been countless women in history who were women but dressed as men in order to get an education/fight in a war and so on
and then I read the contemporary sources on this person and it's full of "he threatened to shoot anyone who called him a woman" and "petitioned the local government to legally consider him a man, on the grounds of 'I live as a man anyway'" and "he always said he should have been born a man and it was only by misfortune that he was born a woman"
like... babes, I do agree with not applying modern labels to historical people, but this does not sound like someone who just cross-dressed for better opportunities

I made a Twitter. A bit nervous because a lot of people on there don't support mspec lesbians/gays, but I'm trying to get out there a bit.
Here it is.

my entire life changed when my dentist told me that the only time my teeth should be touching is when iâm chewing. every single time my teeth are touching i have to separate them. and i noticed that i clench my teeth a LOT.
when your mouth is closed and your teeth are touching or held tightly together, you are unnecessarily straining muscles out of stress. the healthiest way to hold your jaw is slightly apart, where it is relaxed. THIS HELPS WITH HEADACHES
I unclenched my jaw upon reading this.
queer people arenât pokemon you donât have to goddamn sort yourself into such an absurdly specific category holy shit just do your thing and apologize to no oneÂ
Femme and Butch have been used by bisexual people since the terms were fucking created. Femme and Butch have NEVER been âlesbian exclusiveâ terms. Exclusionists and radfems are lying to you. Femme and Butch are our terms too.
They werenât even female exclusive when I was growing up, and into the late 2000s. Like people of all genders within the community could call themselves fem(me) or butch. Butch and fem guys were a thing. Butch and femme nb people definitely were.
My gay grandfather who died in the early 90âs called himself butch and exclusively dated femmes.
For real though, we donât need new terms. The old ones work fine, they were never lesbian (Or women) exclusive terms. They have always been used by the whole community. Demanding bi people begin referring to themselves as animals when they were always included under butch/femme is beyond biphobic and itâs real gross. Demanding they become lesbian exclusive robs huge portions of the community of talking about inter-community prejudices, and their identities which they have used for decades now. Hell, splitting men, nb, and women into totally different terms is weird too.
Butch/Femme were always for the whole community, and the whole community gets to use them. Every part of it.Â
I have never called myself femme because of the vitriol directed toward bi people who call themselves femme or butch.
Itâs never too late to start!
I'm so fucking exhausted. All-too-frequent headaches, GI issues, a possible tooth infection. My temperature regulation is off-the-charts terrible. And I'm constantly tired to boot.
I'm scared I have an autoimmune disease but I don't have access to the testing or support I need.
It sucks.

Villain: fool! the prophecy says that no man may kill me!
Trans Man Hero: *ineffectual stabbing*
Trans Man Hero: okay so like. the prophetic acknowledgement of my gender is good but also. very inconvenient right now.
Reformed villain opens a shop where trans men can come and stab them to affirm their gender identity
Alternately:
Villain standing there with a sword through his gut, but for all intents and purposes is unharmed: âLook. I know you might think this is a snarky dig because youâre kind of masculine and, like, you just put two feet of steel in my stomach, but Iâm dead serious here. I mean, Iâm living serious, which is kind of the issue. But... are you sure youâre a woman? Iâm not trying to tell you your gender, and Iâm going to keep using feminine pronouns until you tell me otherwise, but the prophecy CLEARLY has some opinions on the matter.â
Hero:Â âYou know, this explains a lot.â
Villain:Â âYou know, my minion benefits package includes gender affirmation surgery.â

all good faith identities are valid & beautiful. if you use a label that's very hated on for being "contradictory" you're valid & loved. dictating labels will always be bigotry. nobody knows your individual experience. you know yourself better than anyone.
