Hi anon, first of all I'm sorry for not seeing this for almost two months💀😭

Second of all, the fic I was working on at the time (and which I will hopefully work on again in a few minutes hihi) is Jev/Stoffel (plus eventually André) based on some pictures DS Penske released back 2023 (yes this idea has been around since then)

I don't want to share too much, but it's a mix between real life /"canon" and royal AU 👀

Also, I believe the original idea came to me based on comments by @canellaontop and @valmontheights

"This is a disaster," Stoffel greeted Jev, panic clear in his words. "It's not good," Jev agreed calmly, "but it could be worse, mon amour. Whoever went to the press didn't give them your name. Or if they did, at least they didn't put it in the article." A heavy sigh reached Jev's ear through the phone speaker, his boyfriend admitting, "You're right." A short silenced followed, then, "I'm just very worried about people finding out about us."

"Yeah I guess that's true. But to be honest, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." The German paused for few seconds, trying to find the right words. "Have you kept in contact with the French Prince who drove one of the GT cars for your team slash manufacturer a while back? I think you were somewhat of his driver coach in the beginning of the season?" It was immediately clear to Stoffel that André was talking about Jev. There was no other Prince , French or otherwise, who had driven in WECs GT category recently. Stoffel felt his heart beating in his chest and sweat began to form on his forehead. So much for acting normally around André… Fearing he had ignored the other's question for too already, Stoffel just shrugged, "We still text from time to time. Why are you asking? Isn't he your ex-boyfriend?"

"Mother and Father decided to embrace your racing obsession for once," were her next words. Jev was confused, but waited for her to continue. "They've decided to give spots at the Winter Ball to the drivers in the top three positions in the endurance championship, and also the top 3 drivers in F1," she said, studying the charity event documents. Jev's head whipped around, his eyes wide. "They did what now?!" Surprised by the outburst, his sister raised her hands, "I'm sure they meant well, Jev. Besides, why would that be a problem? It could give you an opportunity to hang out with Stoffel without having to make the relationship public. If he places in the top 3 that is."

A fic written 2 years ago is NOT OLD. Two years is nothing. Two years ago was yesterday.

Also I don't care if a fic is 10 years old. Leave those comments!! Even if you think the author isn't active, or moved on from the fandom, I promise you it will make them smile.
