AW I'M GLAD honestly i think the hsbc kids are well liked by the fandom.. at least more liked than the general events of post-canon homestuck haha. but there isnt that kind of fandom buzz around them the same way there is for the og homestuck characters... i wanna see way more fanfic and theories and fanart abt them..!!! hopefully there'll be more as we get to know them better and we can feel validated for always loving them lol heres some (not all) of my omega kid sketches i did before i drew that illus haha
u can see i kept trying to give harry glasses bc it truly pains me that only 1/4 of these kids have glasses LOL. the ratio of glasses to unglassesed characters is one of the homestuck character design quirks most dear to me.
Personally I think all the original “kids” will die as they’re now guardians and the new kids will take over. I think a passing of the torch would be cool
is beyond canon actually worth reading. the overwhelming consensus I’ve seen is that it’s The Worst Thing To Ever Happen And James Roach Should Kill Himself but I’ve learned not to take what fandom bloggers have to say seriously. Just please tell me it’s interesting, nobody is too OOC, and that it’s going somewhere. That’s all I ask.
I really enjoy it unironically!
It’s definitely interesting, definitely going somewhere interesting, although there’s one character that’s fairly ooc but there’s no way to write around that characterization from the epilogue so they’re playing it where it lies. Despite that difference from the original they really wrote that character well along with their thought process so it’s all internally consistent.
As for quality, I’d say it’s very solid. The current arc I’d even say is peak homestuck though others obviously disagree.
Besides vague comments about the story, the art is phenomenal
