My dear friends, I am appealing to you today on behalf of Abdul Rahman and his mother. His mother is suffering from a serious form of cancer, and her health has deteriorated significantly. She is currently in the hospital's intensive care unit due to excruciating pain. Her condition is critical, with her hemoglobin level dropping to 7 after chemotherapy. She urgently needs €700 to continue her treatment and save her life, as her condition worsens daily.
Abdul Rahman and his family are living in dire conditions in a dilapidated tent, torn by rain and wind, and exposed to the bitter cold. They urgently need €500 to purchase a new tent that will provide them with safe, warm shelter and preserve their dignity during this harsh winter.
Time is of the essence, and every donation, no matter how small, could save a life. Every share of this post could reach someone who can help.
Please, help Abdul Rahman and his family urgently, and don't leave them alone in this difficult ordeal. 💔🙏
Keti Jovanovski Needs Your Help | A letter from Abdul Rahman: Dear friends and kind hearts, My name is Abdul Rahman, and I write to you from
I write these words with indescribable helplessness... My mother's condition has deteriorated, and she is now in the hospital. There is no treatment available; her hemoglobin level has dropped to 7, and the doctors had to give her a blood transfusion to save her life. But the only solution is chemotherapy.
My mother will undergo a chemotherapy session next Saturday, and we desperately need 700 euros to cover the costs. We live in a completely uninhabitable place, and we need your help for my sick mother. Any delay could endanger her life. I fear losing my mother simply because we cannot afford her treatment. Please, any donation or contribution could save my mother's life. Don't leave us alone... 💔
I understand everyone is busy getting back to school, but please turn just a bit of your focus to Palestine. Its been a long two weeks, and everyone is tired, but people in Gaza have been worn out for a long time. Any amount of money donated counts.
Why is everyone ignoring me? 💔
I've only managed to raise €70 of the €700 needed for my mother's treatment so far, and her treatment session is next Saturday.
Our campaign is currently at €10,996, and we need only €11,626 to get her treatment done.
We need €630 more… a small amount, but it means life to my mother.
Please, your donation—even a small one—or sharing this appeal could save her life. Don't leave me alone during this difficult time. 🙏💔
Abdul's mother's health can't afford to miss another chemotherapy treatment, but she urgently needs to raise funds to be able to get it. Please, share and donate, help her survive!

just want to clarify this isn't actually about any current event but something that's been on my mind- to dismiss a socialist project based on the fact people rebelled against it, is to fundamentally not understand a socialist project is going to be considered actively hostile to a lot of people benefiting from capitalism, and as those people still Exist In Society, they're not going to automatically accept an order they feel weakens their position
and on the opposite side, the expansion of capitalism globally always has a trail of blood, but you'll hear that defended as part of the "developing" process. interesting indeed

leftlibs continue to be fucking pathetic about George Orwell
"he was anti-authoritarian man! no he wasn't just some anticommunist he was the most principled anti-authoritarian! both the US and the USSR banned him! he's a based libsoc!"
so, for the billionth time:
this guy was a former colonial cop who actively reported anyone he deemed too subversive to the British government, including people he referred to as "anti white agitators".
his work was briefly banned in like a couple of counties in the US before seeing mass adoption as anticommunist propaganda by the US government and especially the CIA.
can you guys please google for me what his opinion on Hitler was? just real quick google what he wrote about Hitler.
ok so i need to address this because i keep seeing it. authoritarianism/totalitarianism are not coherent frameworks for understanding the actions of a state. their definitions essentially are "when a political entity exercises authority" which is what every single one of them necessarily does if it has any power or "when a political entity is doing oriental despotism" which in itself is meaningless, but also racist.
both of these terms were also popularised in the cold war in order to draw a false equivalence between communists and fascists in order to prop up liberal bourgeois democracy as the only correct or moral form of government (despite the fact that every fascist state arose from a liberal state and that most fascist states have at least at some point been supported by liberal states (and the modern ones are supported and set up by foreign liberal states)).
George Orwell's work exists to criticise the USSR and socialism, despite him never really studying it or ever having been to the USSR, and makes his contempt for the proletariat very clear. 1984 is him imagining "what if the evil socialist state oppressed petit bourgeois intellectuals like me in favour of the masses". Animal Farm is even more blatant in his contempt for the proletariat. in Animal Farm, the proletariat is represented by farm animals (not very subtle) who overthrow the farmer, who represents the bourgeoisie. they then devolve into a non-functional imaginary caricature of what a socialist state must be like in Orwell's imagination. there is no value to be gained from his work except as anticommunist propaganda.
if there were actual insightful critiques of what, for example, the US government is doing to be found in those books, they wouldn't be mandatory reading in school. the only purpose their mass adoption had was quite the opposite: pro bourgeoisie propaganda.
so, no, i don't think we should be showing the kids CIA-backed propaganda.
I must stress enough that the "insightful thoughts" everyone speaks about are nonsense. Re-read two of his opuses, the running themes are essentially "proletariats are brain-dead morons" or "everyone had it on me, poor little white-collar man". 1984 in times especially reads like a stereotypical boomer conservative raving about "kids these days" and "evil feminists", with the values evil totalitarian party promotes being about breaking the "traditional family" and "destroying hetero sex". Those horribly written distopias from likes of Ben Shapiro are actually quite similar to the source material they take inspiration. And both his classicism and racism seeps not only from his fiction works but also from his essays like the time he decided to play-pretend to be poor and tried to hang up with working class people and he can't stop himself from describing awful smells. If we cut all his racism and anti-communism the only thing left are vague ideas he took from that Italian philosopher who coined "elite theory" (That one was beloved by Italian fascist) or the ideas he took from trots and somehow mishaped even worse that they were already. I love to hatepost about him on my blog, but searching for anything of worth here is a fools errand, you can say his language and description are good, that's subjective and I won't judge. But imaginary is the only thing 1984 could provide and it was long ago cannibalised by pop-culture works taking it in, fucking apple made a commercial out of it, this sing is dried up. And animal farm is even less because the language is intentionally dull and repetitive, like the author thinks you are an illiterate moron (wonder why🧐) the movie with Seth Rogan in the next year might be the final nail in it pop-culture perception. Or maybe bread tubers will release 1984+ video essays about the creators "not getting Orwell" repeating all misconceptions a was rambling about on this post, who knows?
