Did you mean to do that? đĽş
I think the thing I love about bread is the same thing that frustrates me about it. It is so simple to make. All you need is water flour and salt. It is so easy to make, anyone can do it with a bit of information and practice and yet it also takes skill. You can do a lot to make your bread really good and high quality, but honestly I donât think the majority of people would even notice. People are so fussy about what bread they like and yet were I to make a loaf of bread there isnât much I could to do mess it up so much that someone wouldnât eat it. Bread seems to just be so full of contradictions.
The main contradiction I find myself thinking of lately is itâs simplicity. Because while I have a knack for bread, and I am so interested in learning all about it, it is hard to keep that passion knowing that it is such a simple thing. Anyone could find themself interested in bread, read a book and likely have the same amount of knowledge that I have, it is hard to grow in that. I do my best to teach myself new things but it is hard. Bread is so old and there is so much lost tradition, and yet it is so hard to find new information on it because well, itâs just bread.
Just bread. Flour, water and salt. I canât even eat the stuff. But people love it so much and so do I. I love bread but at the same time, it is just bread.
So I recently watched Broadchurch for the first time and had to take a break between the first and second season because you know, donât want to die from too much TV drama all at once. So I left it for two days then watched season 2 & 3 in two days. I finished season 3 first thing in the morning and then went to Deadwater Fell assuming it would be the same sort of thing based on the summary, title and display image. THANK GOD I am one for looking into spoilers and looked up who the killer was. So avoided that one and tried again for Gracepoint. When I tell you I have never before thought I was hallucinating as much as the 10 minutes I watched of Gracepoint.
I cannot wait to figure out how to watch Broadchurch and Gracepoint at the exact same time split screened. Hallucination is no joke, but for a second there I thought I was, how can they do that? Just shot for shot, same names, same lines? When I tell you I actually had to stand up and walk away when David Tennant had an American accent. Low key want to study film and media just to analyse the heck out of these two and how they diverge and why. I love it, I hate it and yet, I love it. Even the cut of American Bethâs shirt is the same as English Bethâs dress. Why did American Beth not wear a dress? Was it the actorâs choice, was that too similar, is wearing a dress like that too British?
So Iâm looking at Tumblr again and this time I think Iâll shout into the void, give my friends a break every now and then.
Some things about me because not many people on here actually know me really other than the guy that ran the rare pair fest and was super into Snarry.
I am starting T soon and Iâm super excited about it. Nervous, of course, I donât do well with uncontrolled change but mostly just canât wait.
Iâm not into Harry Potter anymore, at all really. Iâll read the odd fanfiction but certainly not like I used to. And btw if you do buy HP stuff please do not. I am very anti doing that so maybe just donât do that? Life if hell for Trans people and idk maybe show your support by just not supporting a massive transphobe? Kinda a bare minimum but Iâm not your boss.
I bake bread even though I am allergic to it, I am told I am pretty good at it. I actually recently won a National competition in retail bread baking which was super cool. I am hoping to apply for a couple of scholarships to maybe go overseas and learn about bread, which is equal parts exciting and terrifying.
I am from Australia, which is alright, kind of a regional town so not great but still not too bad. #voteyes and all that.
I watch a lot, A LOT of TV shows, mostly British stuff and Crime procedurals, and anything adjacent to that. I am always down to talk about the shows I have seen and love.
I think I am just going to start posting some things here like an interactive diary. I donât really do that but we will see how it goes.
How am I supposed to get any sleep with you climbing the furniture all the time? (text post @thebreakfastgenie)
Watching yall say "trans rights" in ya bio but still talk about buying Hogwarts Legacy
Not letting this get buried as well as this
If you have bought it or continue to buy HP merch please feel free to block me. This is why I am not as active in fandom, I donât feel welcome when yâall show of the stuff you buy like that money isnât going directly towards hurting me and my kin.

mulcahy weird gay little runs compilation
Everything is like âQUEER historyâ and âList of QUEER young adult booksâ or âTop 10 QUEER moviesâ and queer this and queer that and for the love of god please just say LGBT.
And faster to pronounce if you are talking instead of writing.
Itâs not more inclusive, and if your excuse of using a slur as a blanket term is âitâs faster to sayâ, GENUINELY what is wrong with you
Itâs called economĂa del lenguaje.
Itâs also the respected academic term?? The acronym isnât static and itâs usage is varied by things like generational difference, location, and knowledge of the community. Even just in the U.S. in the last few decades the common usage gone from GLBT to LGBT to LGBTQ, to LGBTQA/LGBTQIA/LGBTQIAP/etc (Which, let me tell you as someone who has given presentations in the past using these updated acronyms, are all real mouthfulls), to LGBT+.
Also yes, queer is more inclusive! Especially coming at it from an academic standpoint, people didnât always use or identify with the terms we use now and you canât always try to cram them into our modern perceptions of sexuality. We can argue for years about whether a famous historical figure was gay or bisexual or straight and trans or whatever, but if we can all agree that they were somehow queer then using that term allows us to move past the debate and into productive discussion. And not everybody everywhere shares the same terms for sexual and gender identity, or even the same concepts of those things, so queer really is a more inclusive term in a lot of cases.
Like yeah if youâre talking specifically about gay or trans people you can just say gay or transgender, but if youâre talking about more than one identity or someone who doesnât conform to our perceptions of âLGBT,â or a person or people whose identity you donât know, queer is just the better word.
âThatâs SO gayâ, âOh my god, youâre not a LESBIAN, are you?â
Your words are slurs, too. Why do you get your words, but I donât get mine? What makes you so special?
Iâm here, Iâm queer, go fuck yourself.
queer is not a slur, stop drinking the TERF koolaid
every time one of you fools spout about âqueer is a slurâ a terf laughs because their fucking plan to make that word âtabooâ is fucking working you dipshit.
I did not get my degree in queer literature for you all to keep pulling this bullshit.
baby gays,,,, i beg of you to learn your queer history and stop listening to terf bullshit
every single one of our labels has been used as a slur against us.
terfs and -phobes are always going to try and hurt us with what we identify as. but the fact remains these are OUR labels and always have been.
weâre here, weâre queer, get used to it.
I donât know if this is just because Iâm not American but Iâve never heard queer used as a slur. Ever. Meanwhile gay was the insult in the 2000s here. Everything you didnât like was âsoo gayâ. Queer wasnât even a word most of us knew back then.
It just baffled me that people would think an identifier is automatically a slur just because someone uses it to mock someone. If we did that gay would be a slur. Stupid would be a slur. Autistic would be a slur.
The reason people are upset about the word queer is that itâs a unifying term. You can say youâre queer and all people will know is that youâre part of the community. But you canât say youâre LGBT, you have to say youâre gay or trans or ace. They donât want you to be ambiguously queer. They want you to say which kind of queer you are so they can decide whether youâre undesirable.
yeah in the 90s and early 2000s kids would call each other âgayâ as an insult. But no one ties themselves in knots over whether âgayâ is a slur. So yeah, please ffs learn your history.
They want you to say which kind of queer you are so they can decide whether youâre undesirable.
When you insist that queer is a slur, you are giving the power to define the term to the bigots and homophobes, instead of to the people to whom it applies.
ppl who oppose gender affirming care for kids are nuts like the extent of medical intervention for trans kids is maybe puberty blockers but theyâll still be like âSO UR SAYING WE SHOULD LET TODDLERS HAVE TOP SURGERY???????â barbara toddlers do not have a top to surgery
Saw someone asking "so do you endorse giving puberty blockers to five year olds?"
Friend, a five year old should not have puberty to block. If they do that's called precocious puberty and is the original reason puberty blockers were invented. If a five year old is going through puberty I absolutely endorse them being given puberty blockers
i know john is supposed to be the heart throb but i swear to God every poi fan on this site has a crush on finch and no one can convince me otherwise.Â

itâs easier to just be nice
saw that screenshot from a tik tok going around right now where itâs a woman saying that the âmen have periodsâ shit is too woke. and someone in the comments is going âFOR REAL! canât us WOMEN just have SOMETHINGâ and the thing is with that. is thatâŚ. a lot of the time i see people talk about periods. itâs always complaining about it. every cis woman friend i have irl who gets periods always go âoh god iâm on my period this sucksâ every single joke online about periods is always âa week out of the month my uterus turns into a ninja and stabs me etc etc etcâ you know the ones. people LOVE complaining about periods. and to see people go, after all of this bitching and crying of how people just want to get rid of their period forever- âoh periods are a staple of womanhood and beautiful feminine thingâ is. so odd. because no theyâre not. you have talked about how theyâre not before. we all have. but the minute a trans guy gets a period suddenly itâs all âperiods are BEAUTIFUL AND WOMANLYâ so i guess it all really boils down to. you donât want periods all to yourself. you just want an excuse to hate on trans guys.
oh so when vampires have heightened sensory awareness itâs cool, but when I have it itâs âautismâ
