Animal Crossing New Horizon 2.0 New Villagers Theory
So, there’s the new villagers coming to New Horizons in the new update and as part of the Amiibo season 5 set, and it made me realize a pattern that might clue us in on the - as far as I know - unrevealed genders and maybe even personalities of the new villagers =) So I thought I’d share:
First, I wanted to look at these cards:
Now, we all know there are 16 new villagers - 8 brand new ones, and 8 from earlier instalments, and it’s safe to assume that like with the 8 new villagers from New Horizons 1.0, there’s one for each personality type - However, there’s an order to how they are grouped together in the amiibo cards - For instance, look at how they alternate between male and female villagers:

Reneigh - #432 - Sisterly
Now, let’s look at the returning villagers that we also know some of the personalities and genders of:

Roswell - #447 - Lazy, but might become Smug
Faith - #448 - Normal, but might become Sisterly
I don’t have proof of the last two personality-changes other than that we’ve seen that happen before, Roswell and Faith have designs that seem to fit with the new personalities too, and Lazy and Normal are the two personalities that we have double of, so it’s almost safe to assume those two will change.
Which leads us to the new characters who might also follow that pattern, is my theory - In case they do, their genders and personalities would be:
