I've gushed about this, like, fifty times but the core idea of a king kidnapping a knight's maiden, only for that maiden to usurp him and become an evil queen, causing the knight and the king to team up in order to save the day is such an ingenious premise and the fact that Galavant tells this story as a comedy-musical with catchy songs by Alan Menken, featuring Weird Al as a monk, is just icing on the cake.
