Sometimes I wonder just how humanity survived the 1800s to early 1900s when we doing things like putting lead in makeup and arsenic in paint and sending children into coal mines and cured diseases with bloodletting and opium. Then I remember it’s because women were expected to have like 8 children.

What’s with people suddenly talking about some of the themes in TLT are unintentional/accidental? When I first joined the fandom the general consensus seemed to be that the series was one of the most well written interconnected overarching pieces of literature people had ever read and that Muir was a fantastic writer for her ability to handle complex and intimate topics gracefully and thoughtfully. Did I miss something?

"impulse buy" (noun) anything I have been low-key thinking about purchasing for 3 months, an item that subsequently spent 24-48 hours in my cart as I went through each and every state of grief, and which I then bought, in a desperate, the-guilt-can't-get-me-if-I'm-fast-enough rush.

I took my adhd meds for the first time in like three months and wrote a 1500 word argumentative essay on why Gideon the Ninth should be considered Space Fantasy instead of Science Fiction. Almost entirely written in the 30 minutes it takes me to ride the bus to my campus.
