@owlsounds
My heart is genuinely breaking for the HHS announcements about putting FDA regulations on binders. Fucked up to the core
It's a piece of fucking fabric
"everyone with tits must wear garments that comply with making them look big and bouncy. We're protecting women btw"
@witchywomin-blog-blog provided this link:
A Guide to Binding complied by Maxwell Xander\n\n(None of the images belong to me; credit to owners)
If anything serious happens to binder access, make sure to hoard resources like this!
https://www.hhs.gov/press-room/hhs-acts-bar-hospitals-performing-sex-rejecting-procedures-children.html
Specifically, the pertinent part:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing warning letters to 12 manufacturers and retailers for illegal marketing of breast binders to children for the purposes of treating gender dysphoria. Breast binders are Class 1 medical devices used for purposes such as assistance in recovery from cancer-related mastectomy. The warning letters will formally notify the companies of their significant regulatory violations and how they should take prompt corrective action. “Illegal marketing of these products for children is alarming, and the FDA will take further enforcement action such as import alerts, seizures, and injunctions if it continues,” said FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, M.D., M.P.H.
it’s been so scary to be openly trans lately
be so safe out there guys
This has been going around again, so here’s a link to my favorite free binder charity, Point of Pride. In addition to their free binder program, they do surgery funding, 18 month HRT access grants, electrolysis funding, free femme shapewear, and mini grants for other gender affirming supports.
If the Trump admin’s anti-trans bullshit has made you mad and you have a couple bucks to throw their way, here’s the donation page. They also take donated binders here.
today's reason I fucking love the open source community: Ageless Linux, a brand new Debian-based operating system specifically designed to break the law by giving children access to computers that explicitly refuse to track their age.
reblog this post to help a child break the law
oh goddamn this whole page goes so hard actually, please go read it. what an impressive, visceral takedown of this dumb law
As of June 29, 2026 the law discussed here is a recently passed California state law (AB 1043) that requires age validation before using a computer connected to the internet. This is expected to happen at the operating system level, when you login to Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.
Ageless Linux intends to force the issue before the California state supreme court, then ultimately (probably) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). It's a stupid, dangerous law, voted into place by legislators who either don't understand the core issue OR knowingly voted for it because they're assholes.
California is an influential state in the US. Many laws & regulations passed there eventually trickle out to most states. That's why it's worrisome to see this kind of thing rammed through, and why it's important to fight it.
Also, it doesn't matter if you use Linux or not. Or whether you live in California or not. Visit their site, read the text, learn what's going on with access to computing in this hellscape timeline.
how tf this get through in CA, we're usually smarter than this.
I guess the question is why do the tech companies want this now? It's about control of information, and turning off the spigot.
No bond stronger than a disabled girl and her disabled cat
i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point
you get it. you get the themes. i dont have time to do it justice. just look at it its on the ceiling
Junior novelization of "Weapons" movie.
Quick color comparison of living vs. dead skin colors on Brown and Black skin. This only has 4 colors but the technique is still applicable to any color.
(The colors are exaggerated to show the contrast as well.)
Written text says: (Left) "yay! This character is alive!" (Right) "This one is not"
Instead of the usual warm tone brown skin has, to make it seem dead I opt for a greyish-blue. Take the color you'd use for when they're alive, add a grey/blue toned overlay, and voila!! The result should still be brown, just duller.
To make an overlay, select the color of the skin and then add a new layer. On that layer, color over the selected area with the cool tone. Lower the opacity until it looks how you like. This might differ depending on the software you use, but I use Ibis Paint x.

GAZE UPON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VIBRANT AND ASHY!
and now Sam Neill.
Sad to hear about a talented and beautiful actor, who seemed like a decent guy who loved his job.
Hear me out

I know, I know about Campbell's recent diagnosis.

Art: you don't because it hurts. Until its hurts so badly not to.
hi ive been losing my shit over this picture for the past two days
have been informed that this is from a 1974 sean connery movie called zardoz and all i can say is if i saw this in 1974 my third eye would have snapped the fuck open
Isn’t that a thwomp
on the topic of Zardoz, this is what Sean Connery wore in the movie
Please reblog this nice Toad.
The Gun is Good
THE GUN IS GOOD, THE MUSHROOM IS EVIL. THE MUSHROOM PUFFS SPORES AND CREATES NEW LIFE, THAT BRINGS UPON THE EARTH THE PLAGUE OF FUNGUS, AS ONCE IT WAS.
Just reblogging this today Zardoz is a pretty trippy art film, but it's MORE than its reputation as a campy disaster will have you believe.
It's still, at the least, too fucking Macho, but wacko symbolism has a point beyond lazy "surrealism".
Poirot - The King of Clubs
Join us as Ben, Tiago, and Rose cover the inspirations behind Ace Attorney! Going back to the fridge for more Poirot... although maybe we ate our food faster than we should've! Another delightful episode, this time featuring a terrible movie studio head, a mysterious neighbor family, and Inspector Japp being oblivious again. Also Poirot sends Hastings away because he's too much of a blabbermouth to help out with the finale of this case! Aging movie stars, young movie stars, and Timothee Chalamet. All the stars are here!
