A comforting and hearty meal of jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a savory beef and cheese mixture, cooked slowly in marinara sauce until tender and flavorful.
Ingredients: 1 lb jumbo pasta shells. 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 egg. 1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta shells until they are al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Get rid of extra fat. Put the cooked beef mixture, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix the beef and cheese together and put some in each cooked pasta shell. Put a little marinara sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker. Put the stuffed pasta shells in the slow cooker so that they are all in one layer. Cover with the rest of the marinara sauce. Put the lid on top and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours, until the pasta is soft and the filling is hot. Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving.
