So what's crazy is I don't have tiktok, but this video just happened (✌🏾✌🏾) to come across my FB and....yeah. everything she said is facts. With Rhaena, I'm on the fence. To me, it makes sense that she'd look that rough because she's in a situation where she doesn't know what to do and with no one to stand with her. Cutting off her locs to hide her white hair makes sense, especially because no one is maintaining all that on the run. But it does seem like she's being placed into harder circumstances than her combo of characters implies she should be, in a way her white counterparts just... Aren't. They've made Alicent far kinder, apparently!

And as for Louis, Claudia, and Armand? Yeah. The Islamophobia with Armand? Check. The antiblackness with Louis? Check. A white woman being the author of this last episode and how it is clear that she was having so much fun with the violence that she clearly did not consider (or maybe even just believes in) what this all looks like? I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.

I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.

This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.

They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.

much has been said already about the supreme court case and trans rights but today i'm thinking extra hard about trans kids who have been sent into the psych system for any reason, who have to bear the lack of autonomy innate to it but the extra sting of being denied the right to your name and your gender in sex-segregated facilities, by transphobic staff, etc.

i'm thinking extra hard about how we've ended up where we are, with trans kids at the center of so much hatred, because children are not seen as people with interiority or an ability to narrate their own experiences. we've decided it's alright to lock children up for horrible diagnoses that psychs throw around like they're nothing, to strip their autonomy completely and force them through humiliation, invasions of privacy, and endless torment by "professionals" whose power over every waking moment of their lives has no end. these things cannot be separated.

i'm thinking today of every trans child in a wilderness camp, in a residential treatment facility, in psych wards and PHP/IOP programs, especially those whose transness has been tied to unwellness. fuck the psych industry and the troubled teen industry and transphobia forever

-bottom growth varies widely. I've known guys who get barely any growth and I've known guys who end up with huge t-dicks (lucky bastards 🙄) it really just depends

-it feels weird at first, but it's not particularly painful. i would get mild pain occasionally when mine first started to grow but I've known a lot of guys who haven't had any pain whatsoever. it's really nothing worth panicking over, relax.

-it is extremely fucking sensitive when it first starts to grow. like EXTREMELY sensitive. i had to switch from boxer briefs to boxer shorts because the chafing was too annoying

-you are going to end up with a foreskin if you get any growth at all and you will have to learn to clean it. thankfully it's very easy to do.

-to put it bluntly, your junk will start to smell like balls. I've seen a lot of guys panic over this. it's normal, i promise you're fine

-atrophy is a bitch but there are things you can do to fix it. I've never tried any of them because i wasn't really big on bottoming to begin with, but I've talked to guys who have had success with it. just ask your doctor.

-while I've known a lot of people who have gotten dried out by T, i haven't really noticed any change myself so ymmv

-you will probably at some point have to compare notes with other transmascs because most doctors dont know shit from fuck about medical transition. it can feel awkward at first, but you'll be surprised how quickly it dissipates. it helps to have a handful of transmasc friends you're already comfortable with vs a bunch of random strangers.

-the "you will never be able to orgasm again" myth I've seen terfs spread is laughably untrue. don't worry. there was a bit of a learning curve for me figuring out how to jerk off since i was used to working with smaller equipment, but it's fairly easy to get the hang of

over a year later i actually want to say that you should get your atrophy looked at even if you aren't bottoming. i would recommend getting it checked out as soon as you notice it

I put it off because i wasnt using that hole anyway so yayyy who cares and now i suspect that it is the cause of some of the urinary issues I've been having (an incredibly stubborn uti and some retention) because it can effect your urethra and bladder, not just your front hole.

i also put off getting my atrophy checked out because i wasn't bottoming at the time, and ended up with chronic pain issues as a result which i was able to fix through pelvic health therapy and a prescription from my doctor for estrogen cream

i was trying to figure out the atrophy and chronic pain for awhile, and wasn't able to make much progress because my doctor didn't know that much about atrophy and didn't give me any instruction beyond using the estrogen cream weekly before bed

what does chronic pain from atrophy look like? everyone is different, but for me it was chronic pelvic pain and cramping (it feels like bad menstrual cramping), especially after sex/orgasm

a few tips

you'll likely get prescribed estrogen cream with a plastic applicator to use 1-2x a week before bed — the applicator can be really uncomfortable, just using your finger or putting it on the tip of an (insertable) toy is fine, as long as you get it in there

if you're like me and really put off seeking treatment for atrophy until it was really bad — you can use it more often. my pelvic health therapist had me use it daily for two weeks when i started treatment

atrophy isn't just internal, it also affects some of the external tissues as well, making the tissues more sensitive, dry, and sometimes even painful. if this is the case for you, make sure you also use some of the e cream externally! my pelvic health therapist told me to do 1g internally, 1g externally, focusing on the areas that are more sensitive (for me that was around my urethra)

dilators! they make them in super small sizes that gradually go up in size. you kind of just put them inside you for like 20 min a day — you could use them like a sex toy, you could also just play on your phone and do smth else while they're inside you. practice breathing and relaxing around it. super helpful and i highly recommend if you feel comfortable using them, even if you're not into bottoming because the weakened muscles and tissues down there need blood flow in order to heal, and dilators help stretch those muscles and stimulate blood flow
