Think of whatever examples you want, and try to see if it's a pattern for you to interpret close platonic relationships as siblinghood in the absence of shipping intent. If it helps, compare your habits to what you see the rest of your fandom(s) do. For science.

Back in my day, this was the default. This was normal. We didn't have a special term for it. We had "don't like, don't read" and "your kink is not my kink and that's okay".

Wait, what's that? You personally dislike incest, age gaps, or abuse? That's okay. You can dislike those things and still be proship. You can even express your dislike and still be proship. You are not required to like every ship in existence. You are only required to be a decent human being who doesn't tell people to kill themselves because you don't care for their ship.
