Im sure this has already been talked about but I really wanted to do a deep-ish dive into my theory.
Cinderella's Castle and the Hatchetverse are connected. Hear me out.
The biggest connection is obvilously the Fairy Queen. I believe she is Webby from Black Friday. Now Hannah was young when she named her and most kids that age pick names based off of looks. So it would make sense that Webby would be covered in web-ish material, which is exactly what the Fairy Queen is wearing. Webby is also described as a "spider from space". The Fairy Queen is visualized with multiple times during her song with multiple arms and lives in a weird in-between place which could be described as space, especially if it has starlight.
Another connection is the fact that both Webby and the Fairy Queen, while not explicitly good, are both protectors. Webby protects Hannah from Wiggly and the Fairy Queen protects Cinderella from the trolls.
One of the biggest connections I noticed was through the songs. The Fairy Queen's song is Ash to Ash which by itself doesnt have a lot of meaning by itself. But, during the bridge in Wiggle, Linda sings "from dust to ash" over and over again. I dont think that its an accident that the big bad and the one who openly oposses him have the same motif in their songs.
I also believe that the space that the Fairy Queen lives in is the black and white. Its described as "tides of nothingness" and "the end of time". The black and white is known as an abyss of endless blackness outside of time and space. I think that the "last bit of starlight" that is given to Ella is what makes the black and white the true abyss its known as in the Hatchetverse.
Now, this last point may be a bit of a stretch. I think that Ella's kingdom is Hatchetfield.
The first point I thought of was that Hatchetfield is a place of tradgedy. I know, not a great point but if you think about it, Ella's kingdom is also a place of tradgedy. Both places are spots where a lot of death and destruction happen. So I looked into it a bit more.
The first thing was the cult of the Lords in Black. The cults name is the Church of the Starry Children, and what does the Fairy Queen give Ella? "Trappings of starlight". Also, the church is in the Witchwood Forest which is interesting for 2 reasons. The first being that Webby is directly connected to the Hatchetfield podcast episode "The Witch in the Web", so she is known as a witch in some circles. The other one is the Fairy Queen herself. She is awakened when Ella buries her friends under the oak tree in the forest. The Witchwood Forest is directly tied to the Fairy Queen.
I cant find any direct mention of this but I believe that Professor Hidgen's manor is on top of a hill. Cinderella's castle is on a hill, the opening song is literally "Castle on a Hill". Now I dont think theres a moat around the manor but I also know that Hatchetfield is an island and is also described as a "tiny town". Its not that far of a stretch to think that Hatchetfield is located in the same area.
Anyways, long story short, I think that Cinderella's Castle is a direct prequel to the Hatchetfield trilogy and explains how the Lords in Black and Webby were first able to connect to the mortal realm. Let me know if you have any theories along the same line!
