And what if I said that the great divide album from Noah Kahan relates way too much to satosugu and shoko for me?
Just when I thought I escaped minecraft, Wifies pulls me back in.
Can I just say that the fact that Ryland Grace is presented as not brave or a coward is so dear to me.
When male protagonists are constantly framed as "the brave hero that saves the world" seeing someone like Grace who is scared and goofy and kind is so refreshing.
Because yes he is still brave just not naturally. He steps up because it's the right thing to do and doesn't want the entire world to die out just because he was too scared to do anything but that doesn't come automatically. He needs to be forced into it and later be reminded of it through Rocky.
Ryland Grace is a hero in every sense of the word but he didn't become one alone.
He needed to be thrown into it and even then he was scared but he still did it, not for glory but because he wanted to help. First humanity and then Rocky and his planet.
Grace may be one of the bravest male protagonists in a while.
I feel like Satoru Gojo would call his s/o sweets as a nickname because they help him function and is his favorite thing in the world
(And if the s/o would complain about the nickname he'd double down just to tease)
watched project hail mary yesterday and I had to draw this scene
"In every universe Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-man...and in every other universe it doesn't end well"
Yeah except Miles is an anomily so that rule doesn't apply to him
Not to mention she says "every other universe" which implies there are universes where it does end well.
Geto's view of Gojo as he was spiralling.
(Inspired by the I'm slowly forgetting your face x a silent voice even though we all know suguru could never forget gojo's face)
Satosugu one-shot

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suguru has known he likes men for a while now. Ever since he was 14 to be exact. Satoru on the other hand never had the opportunity to even think about liking someone, let alone wether he'd like men or women (or both). All that shatters when he first meets suguru and he's thrown down a spiral.
At first he just assumes this is what it feels like when you have friends. The urge to always have some sort of sight on Suguru, to be close to him. That weird feeling he gets in his stomach whenever they touch or when Suguru flashes him that gorgeous smile of his. That's just what it feels like to have friends right? ...right?
Then one day Satoru is longuing in his dorm when he realises. He never feels like that when he's near Shoko, or Nanami or even Haibara. Maybe Suguru is just special to him? Like his closest friend. At first he just chucks it up to being that until he starts to see people dating and descibing what it feels like. The stolen glances, the butterflies, the craving for closeness. It all sounds too familiar.
Then the panic sets in. How could Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer, feel like some silly little school girl with a crush...on a man none the less?
It still takes a while until he finally breaks and tells Shoko how he's feeling and how he's struggling to grasp any of it (granted he only talked because he drank and became a blabbermouth). He and Suguru are both guys so it doesn't make any sense. Shoko just chuckles.
"How sheltered did they keep you in that clan? Never heard of gay people before?"
Satoru blinks a few times trying to proces it. Ofcourse he's heard of gay people before but he can't be gay can he? He's liked women before and tells Shoko as such. He only gets an eyeroll in response before she scoots a bit closer.
"Bisexuality exists, y'know someone who likes both." She chuckles again. "Honestly kinda funny you haven't realised it yet, you've been pining for Suguru for a while now."
"I have not!" Satoru interjects, almost too fast, but his face turns red from his cheeks to the tip of his ears. Shoko just shrugs.
"Whatever you say, but just so you know everyone except you two idiots can see how you pine for one another." She leaves the bed they were both lounging on to grab a new cigarette and lights it.
"I'm not gonna tell you how to feel. However you feel it doesn't matter to me though."
Satoru just nods. He can't bring himself to look up at her immediatly as his heads spirals.
That day stuck with him for years on end. It still took him a few months to even realise he truly isn't fully straight and he was indeed crushing on Suguru. What bothered him was the fact that he was too afraid to actually say anything. Shoko had said they pine for one another but Satoru doesn't fully believe that. He's never caught Suguru staring at him like he does, or tried to reach out first. Gojo was scared to lose the closest friend he's ever had so he decided not to risk it. After all there is still a stigma around it all and he couldn't bare imagining Suguru being disgusted at him. Just because Shoko was cool with it doesn't mean everyone will be.
Suguru was a completely different story. Quite early on he realised even he couldn't resist the charm of Satoru Gojo. It didn't bother him as much but the more time went on and the closer they got the more it hurt. Something so close yet so unreachable. It hurt even more than anything whenever he saw Satoru flirt with any woman who gave him any attention (which is quite a lot of women). That's when Suguru would always be brought back to reality. The two of them were really close and sometimes they shared moments, hands brushing together and lingering a bit too long or sometimes he'd catch Satoru staring at him just a second too long. Late night talks in either one of their dorms where they'd lose track of time and eventually fall asleep in the same bed because "my dorm is too far away" even though it was only a room away. But whenever Suguru saw Gojo flirt with some random woman he got reminded of the truth. Satoru Gojo is straight. Suguru had known he was gay for a while now and that's exactly why he couldn't risk it. Satoru grew up in a very conservative clan and even if he didn't share all their opinions some must've slipped through the cracks right?
And so years passed. Both Satoru and Suguru kept quiet for the same fear of losing the other one. Neither of them ever confessed. Both silently deciding that just being close as friends was better than being strangers with a confession between the two of them and an ache in their hearts for losing their other half.
That all changed after a single night outing. By now they were all well into their twenties and some had grown apart more since being a sorcerer. Still they had this tradition to try and have a night where they all met up with one another evey month or so. They'd go out to eat (Satoru insisted on paying every time and most wouldn't complain). Then get some drinks and just talk about life and laugh about some old stories or new blunders.
As the night got older most have started saying their goodbyes. Haibara dragging Nanami away and Shoko dissapearing with Utahime left Satoru and Suguru alone. Both had drank a bit but since Gojo is such a lightweight it culminated in Geto dragging Gojo to his hotel room not far from the restaurant they were jsut at. Gojo is drunkenly blabbering about all sorts of stuff. Missions he's gone on, how fun it is to see everyone again, his grievances with his clan position... Suguru just listened and nodded along. Sometimes throwing in an 'uhuh' or a simple hum. Both thought it was nice, like old times when the two of them would goof off in jujutsu high and talk about anything and everything.
Once they arrived at Satoru's hotel room Suguru struggled with the keys and eventually got the both of them inside. Dropping Gojo down onto his bed unceremoniously and leaving to grab him a glass of water and some aspirin for his inevitable headache. Once he returns and sets everything down on Satoru's nightstand he readies himself to leave until Gojo grabs the back of his shirt like a little kid. Suguru looks over his shoulder confused at the slight murmering coming from Satoru who is by this point nearly ingulfed by the bedsheets.
"Don't go..." Gojo mumbles again, looking up towards Geto through his lashes.
"Satoru, it's late and you should get some sleep." Geto softens his voice as he turns around and kneels down next to Satoru's bed.
"And I want you to stay...you can sleep here." Gojo doesn't look Geto in the eyes but the tension in the room could be cut with a knife. Years of pent up yearning from each of them starting to bubble back up to the surface.
Suguru scoffs. "You really are drunk. Go to sleep Satoru." In truth Geto would like to do nothing more than cuddle up next to Satoru like they sometimes did in highschool but he knew that would be too dangerous. Not to mention Gojo is drunk and probably isn't thinking clearly.
Just as Suguru is thinking of all the excuses and reasons to say no Satoru yanks him into the bed and cuddles up to him.
"...warm." Is all that Satoru says before drifting off to sleep. Suguru tries to protest and struggles to leave. The strongest does have a death grip after all. After trying for a bit more and finding it to be useless Suguru relents and hugs Satoru closer.
"Idiot." Suguru mumbles before letting sleep take him too. He'll deal with the consequences of his own emotions tomorrow.
The next day Satoru was the one who woke up first with a pounding headache and a strange weight ontop of him. When he opened his eyes with a groan he realised said weight was Suguru and panic set in immediatly. What the hell happened last night? He can barely remember anything from last night. Some drinks and stories floated around in his head...Suguru walking him home and then it's just dark. They didn't.... Satoru looks down under the sheets and lets out a sigh of relief. Clothes still on so nothing serious happened he assumes. Yet he still needs to work around this problem of his crush of 10 fucking years laying half ontop of him and his pounding headache at the same time. If he moves he might wake up Suguru who is laying oh so nicely fast asleep. He can't bring himself to wake Suguru from his slumber, it's not every day after all where he gets to see Suguru splayed out so vulnerable and relaxed. His hair covering the pillows and splayed out everywhere.
Just as Satoru is weighing all of his options through his head Suguru starts to stir.
"...Sato-?" That nickname alone is able to make Gojo blush but mix that with Geto's morning voice and Satoru's head just shortcircuits.
Suguru sits up in bed without another word and hands satoru the medicine and water he layed out last night. Satoru looks at it for a second before it all registers and takes said medicine. He downs it with the water and tries to gather his bearings.
"Thanks, Sugu." Now it's time for Geto's blush to creep onto his cheeks. Both men stay silent for a beat before both interrupt one another.
"I'm so sorry-" Both pause at that before laughing. That familiar comfort spreads throughout the room before Satoru speaks up.
"Okay wait- why are you saying sorry? I'm the one who had you drag me to my hotel." Geto blinks the tiredness out of his eyes and swipes some of his hair to the side.
"That's not a problem and you know that, you're just a lightweight." Suguru smirks and Satoru grumbles at his tease.
"Shut up" No real bite behind it ofcourse but still Gojo rolls his eyes and the room goes quiet once again.
"What happened last night? I can hardly remember." He mumbles. Geto just chuckles.
"Nothing happened, your drunk ass just dragged me into the bed with you because you were lonely or something." Geto shrugs and sees Satoru deflate slightly whispering a soft 'oh'.
Suguru raises an eyebrow. "Did you want something to happen?"
At first it's meant as a tease but he quickly notices the blsuh spreading across Gojo's face.
Gojo decides to risk it. God knows why, maybe some alcohol is still in his system (unlikely), maybe it's the morning pounding of his head and some delusional confidence of the Gojo name. He knows what he's about to say next will change everything but for once he doesn't hold back on saying it.
"What if I did?"
For the first time that morning Satoru looks Suguru right in the eyes.
That hits Suguru like a truck. The hesitant but firm eye contact, the slight blush on Satoru's face and that sentence. Oh that sentence sent Suguru under to do something foolish. Something he knew he'd probably regret but it was already too late to turn back before he even realised what he was doing.
He cupped Gojo's cheek and leaned in close. Too close for just friends. Hovering only an inch from Satoru's face he used the last of his sanity to ask if it was okay. All Gojo did was nod.
The next thing he knew they were kissing.
It started innocently enough. Just a small kiss but when Suguru tried to pull back Gojo wrapped his arms around Geto's neck and pulled him back down.
This time both of them dropped the unsure innocence act. They realised the other one wanted this just as much as them so the kiss grew in intensity. It started out uncoordinated. Lips rushing against one another, then Suguru's tongue slipped out to glide across Satoru's mouth; It made Gojo gasp and Geto took advantage of it. Entering his mouth deepening the kiss.
When they finally pulled apart to gasp some air both didn't look away. A small string of saliva connecting the two as their blush mirrored one another. After a few huffs Suguru chuckled.
"I didn't think you were into men. If i knew I'd have said something sooner." Satoru scoffs.
"I've been crushing on you since we were first years. Ironically enough you made me realise I like men."
That made Suguru swoop in again for another heated kiss. He didn't trust whatever might have come out of his mouth next so he opted for the next best thing. The world around them died out for a minute. It even felt like Satoru's headache stopped just as his heart did only to start beating a hundred times over.
After what felt like ages and not a single second at the same time the two men parted again and this time Satoru was the first to speak up.
"I think we have a lot to talk about." Suguru nodded in agreement.
"Yeah we do but this might just be my favorite conversation yet." He flashes that same confident grin again towards Satoru.
Gojo just puts his head on Geto's shoulder to try and hide his face. There is no place he'd rather be than where he is right now and he agrees with Suguru. This next conversation might be his favorite conversation yet.
After 10 years of what felt like unrequited love both men realised it may not have been as unrequited as they once thought.
Gojo Satoru headcanon
Thinking about how Gojo probably grew up learning to supress negative emotions like if he ever gets scared or sad he had to pretend he wasn't. He's learned to hide it really well by the time he's a teenager yet a part of him craves some sort of outlet. Sometimes it gets too much and he hides himself from the world to let it out got once and he hates himself for it. It makes him feel weak.
Which he eventually finds in you. Maybe a bad mission happened or even after Suguru left. Anyway you find him tucked away in some corner barely holding it together until the dam breaks.
You spot him in some long forgotten corner of Jujutsu high with his back to you and you decide to walk up to him to see how he's doing. You're only a few steps away when you hear it. That quiet kind of sniffling when someone tries to hold it in. Another step and you see his shoulders start to shake and thats when it hits you. Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer, is crying and you're standing right behind him. Gojo didn't notice you until you're only a few steps away from him.
He freezes, tries to hide it, tries to collect himself and laugh it off because he knows that being seen this vulnerable is bad. He's supposed to be the strongest, the one everyone looks up to, the one that never breaks...so why can't he control himself right now? Why can't he act like it's all some big joke and tease you for stalking him or something? His brain isn't fast enough to think of anything because he feels like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
At first you don't say anything, you just look at him and crouch down to his level. Once he finally tries to say something you just hug him. No words are said which confuses Gojo, he's waiting for the inevitable dissapointment or scoff but it never comes. All you do is ask if he's okay and if he wants to talk.
That does it. The floodgates have opened because for once in his life Gojo is seen. Not as the strongest sorcerer but as a person who needs someone else sometimes too.
(First ever post so kind of excited :D, sorry if the writings bad, I don't really do this often but this idea has been floating around in my head for a while now and needed to empty it out somewhere!
Also English isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes!)
