I know that the name for this AU is Raven Empress AU, but it's because Lilith ended up as Empress. Not necessarily because I ship her with anyone, let alone Belos.

(To be clear, Lilith is Aroace in this AU. So I don't ship her with anyone in general, and she didn't marry anyone in this AU. Also I think that the basic premise is answered in the FAQ, but I'll post it here as well.)

~♡☆Basic Premise of this AU (without major spoilers)☆♡~

Belos dies several years before Luz steps foot on the Boiling Isles, and Lilith becomes Hunter’s Regent for the first 6 months of her reign, due to some extremely convoluted succession rules.

(To be clear, Lilith didn’t marry Belos. She just happened to be head of the Emperor’s Coven at the time of Belos’s death.)

I might actually end up making this canon in some form for this AU (both timelines). But the main difference is how it'll end up canon in both timelines (it's really complicated sorry).

Also, yes, Luz would literally have this exact reaction to this specific scenario in both timelines. That part will definitely be canon in my AU.

I was thinking about posting a rebloop of someone's artwork to help explain why Hunter is the 50th successful Caleb Grimwalker, and that Belos has a journal recording when each Grimwalker was born and details about their life. As that artwork gave me those ideas.

But OP is allegedly proship. So I basically blocked them and deleted the rebloop from my drafts. Apologies for the inconvenience.

This should go without saying, but I need to make this abundantly clear. If you're a proshipper, ship Lunter and/or Empg0ld, or both, then kindly piss right off. I really don't need people like that in my life, even if it's on an AU blog of a children's cartoon.

I find those groups of people genuinely disgusting. Mostly because they all act super gross. But that's from my experience within this fandom.

(Any proshippers, Lunter/Empg0ld shippers, and anyone else under the typical DNI will get blocked. No ifs, ands, or buts.)

Hunter sleeps holding his Sprig plushie, and he's done this since he was really little. Lilith gave it to him by putting it in the crib next to him, as a gift from one of his predecessors.

(In the Canon!Timeline, it was last seen at Gus's place. Locked in his toybox for safe keeping. Once it was found again, Hunter kept it on his bed. Occasionally bringing it with him to sleepovers.)

(I'm debating on whether it'll be too big for him to hold as a baby. But I'm imagining him as smaller than the plushie for scale. Also the eyes are soft, so it would be safe for an infant/toddler under 3.)

Lilith doesn't actually know that the plushie is based on Sprig, so she calls it Pink Slippy. I did this as a reference to Star Fox.

The Sprig plushie is inherited from Tristan in this AU. In both timelines.

Corvin does tease his older brother for this sometimes. Even though he's not one to talk.

I'm debating on whether the plushie eyes will be a soft fabric, or made of plastic. Either way, it's safe for a little Grimlet.

What are the succession rules on the Boiling Isles?

These are the succession rules according to Boiling Isles law, they’re extremely simplified.

1) Emperor’s spouse

2) Emperor’s eldest child (or nephew, in this case)

3) Golden Guard (Tristan, deceased)

4) Head of the Emperor’s Coven (Lilith Clawthorne)

Since Belos wasn’t married, the previous Golden Guard was killed (Tristan), and Hunter was 2 when he died. Lilith initially took over as Hunter’s Regent for the first 6 months of her reign.

Is Belos a Bastard in this AU?

Yes.

What are the ships in this AU?

The main ships in this AU are Huntric (Hunter Clawthorne x Edric Blight), Lumity (Luz Noceda x Amity Blight), and Raeda (Raine Whispers x Eda Clawthorne). There will be other ships as well, but I will put them here as soon as I figure out what ships will be in this AU.

When did this AU diverge from Canon?

Technically this AU diverged from the Canon Timeline around 400 years before the show proper, but I can’t share too many details, as it has something to do with Hunter and Corvin. Although from Hunter and Lilith’s perspective, this AU diverged when Belos died.

(This AU is still developing BTW. So some of the exact details might change here and there.)

~Quick Update~

I do have a couple of big things happening this month, a funeral for Popa and an MRI. So that's why things are slower than usual, and it's the main reason as to why I'm utilizing the queue.

I've mostly been preparing for the former since February, and I still feel like I'm not ready yet. And I've been mentally preparing for the MRI since the beginning of this month.

The next chapters of my current fics (the ones I'm working on) will come out when they're ready. I can't really tell you an exact date.

I also have a couple of projects under heavy wraps, and I'll try to update those on separate posts (and I'll try to update you as soon as I can).
