mozzarella and parmesan is kind of like the age gap yuri of cheese
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

my little brother was listening to marvin gaye and i said did you know in pride month hes actually called marvin homosexual and my brother said really? Thats cool! And turned around before i could clarify i was joking so can everyone start doing that cuz he seemed kind of happy about it
happy pride month !
my general opinion on what people should be "allowed" to portray and what topics they should be "allowed" to explore in fiction is that you can make whatever art with whatever themes you want but i'm also allowed to think the way you handled it was tasteless and should've been done differently. my negative opinion on your handling of sensitive topics is the price of admission for publicly showcasing your work. this is not a pro-censorship stance because i am not The Government
this is getting really popular so i’d like to add the important caveat that your criticism of a work is no more unassailable than the work itself. just as one is entitled to be critical of something someone else is entitled to disagree with that criticism. i add this because some of you pretend to give a fuck about thoughtful analysis and then when someone points out flaws in your argument you declare that all criticisms are valid. this is untrue. the status of a hater is no more sacred than that of a liker. get off your high horse and engage in the thoughtful discussion you pretend to believe in or perish by my blade
After watching some of DS9 I've come to the conclusion that Tuvok and Odo would in fact not get along well. Tuvok would be like why don't you kick that criminal out of the promenade and also why aren't you turning your reports in on time and also here's twenty uniform violations I counted among your security team in the time I've been here - this is unacceptable. And Odo would go to Sisko like "If you want me to quit just say so, I can't work with your Starfleet goons breathing down my neck about these insipid 'rules' and 'regulations'!" and Sisko would have to bring Tuvok into his office and say this is HIS station and if Starfleet doesn't like the way he runs it they can talk to him DIRECTLY instead of sending someone down to harangue his chief of security and Tuvok raises an eyebrow and says he's sure they'll keep that in mind. Then he leaves with ominous music but doesn't appear again. By the end of the episode it's revealed by Garak or whomever that he wasn't even there to check up on Sisko or the station, he was doing some unrelated Starfleet intelligence business.
people have this tendency to believe that fandom discourse exists because people in fandoms are Stupid Nerdy Losers, but in fact fandom discourse exists because anytime you get a group of more than 100 people together, they will start creating interpersonal bullshit. fandom is not special in this regard
There is sports discourse. There is yarn discourse. There is food discourse. There is academic discourse (dear sweet god is there academic discourse). If there are people out there collecting brass buttons specifically from 1921, they are going to have discourse about which buttons are trash and whether Person A cheated person B. To be human is to engage in pointless wankery sometimes.
Been thinking a lot about how traits pass between different dragons breeds, and did a quick sketch of Ning and her parents. More musings under the cut!
listen. just trust me. put butter on one side of a piece of bread. put cream cheese on the other side. lay the buttered side on a hot pan. add frozen strawberry slices to the cream cheese.
take a second slice of bread. add butter to one side. nutella to the other. add nutella side to the strawberries. flip to your preferred grilled perfection.
serve. glass of milk optional.
trust me.
y'know I'm glad I post things like this because I thought I had just come up with this last night, made it again today, came here to post, felt a vague sense of deja vu, searched my own blog, and here we are. what is a long term memory
Oh! This reappeared in my notes with good timing; my experiments with this recently have taught me new things, so I will also add:
1) putting a lid over the pan with intermittent flipping while it grills will help steam the strawberries and make a more consistent temperature inside the sandwich!
2) a light dusting of cinnamon sugar on the buttered bread really elevates it!
the thing I love most about how tumblr users use tags is that it’s like what if a social media website had a footnotes system
