he’s right where he wants to be
So someone on Reddit has been holding a poll for about a month for Naruto characters to see who's the most loved Naruto character. People should vote out the characters they want to eliminate until only one character is left.
Through the entire thing, Kakashi's name was never suggested to be eliminated until there were only the top 5 characters left and OP decided to comment the names of the characters and people should upvote whoever they want to eliminate and this was the result
Kakashi was the only character to ever get downvotes, people didn't even want his name to be suggested at all for elimination while everyone else was getting upvotes. 😂
The poll has ended and ofc Kakashi won by far.
I just wanna see the people who always suggested that Kakashi's fanbase isn't as big as Itachi's or Minato's.
Which also reminds me that Kakashi is the only character who was always in the top 3 in all the official polls and had the most votes in the overall result through all the years, not even Naruto or Sasuke were able to surpass that.
Just saying...
Bringing this post back because Kakashi deserves all the love in the world.
Since several people in my previous post were like “yeah, he cared about Naruto but he never cared about Sakura tho”
Also can we appreciate Kakashi’s incredible speed here? when when the Hyuga clan were having a hard time dodging these things, Kakashi just grabbed Sakura away from it with such ease.
And even without the sharingan, his speed was still incredible enough to save himself, Sakura and Obito here while falling into Kaguya’s lava dimension, and not just the speed of his body but also his thinking, to be able to come up with a plan to tie a kunai to a scroll and hook it to the edge, catching Sakura while throwing another kunai to pin Obito to the wall and save the 3 of them all in less than a second.
“oh but he never taught Sakura anything tho” really? Then what was that? 👇
Kakashi only spent one year training team 7, this year was divided between missions and training, and we’ve only seen so little of it while most of it was in time skip but it was implied and even literally stated by Kishimoto in the databook that he did train all 3 of them in this year, specifically stating that the 3 of them learned so much from Kakashi during this year.
Just because they were in a time skip off screen, it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen! Boruto and Himawari’s birth happened during a time skip too, does that mean that they appear out of thin air and Hinata never really gave birth to them?. And we’ve never really seen any of the other Sensei’s training their students either, that still doesn’t mean they never trained them, come on now.
He also believed in her the same way he believed in Naruto and predicted that one day she’ll surpass Tsunade.
Not only that, he even supported and defended her and tried to explain her feelings to Sasuke.
My man cares about all of his students despite all of his trauma, depression and being barley able to hold himself together, he was always.. always there for them whenever they needed him.
Since other account already pointed out that Kakashi vouched Sakura to Tsunade in chapter 236, I want to squeal talk about it some more.
When I think about it, the first time he met Tsunade was when she healed him from Tsukuyomi induced coma. After that he was immediately assigned to a probably S rank mission when he still needed rest.
So he received mission, planned to visit Sasuke, diffuse the chaos that ensues, lectured Sasuke, go to mission that takes days to be completed (because the moon was full when Kakashi depart for his mission and the moon was crescent when Sasuke left the village, a.k.a a night before Sasuke’s retrieval arc),
came back receiving horrible surprise and told Tsunade that it’s such a bad bad idea to only send rookies after Sasuke,
searched for Naruto and Sasuke to all direction, desperately tried to catch them up,
carry Naruto back toward Konoha hospital, and still had thought about other genins that’s not even his responsibility (and he’s probably the reason why Tsunade dispatched more medic nin to pursue them),
and somehow between them he has time to talk about Sakura’s talent toward Tsunade. Well, what can we expect from a guy who proudly talk about his student to Zabuza and Haku in the middle of the war XD
Tl:dr = Kakashi did his best to handle all of his extreme students at once, Kakashi was stated still needs some rest, and he only receive his rest 14 years later after he was retired.
And, i think it’s obvious but, Sakura always had her head on the right place and a normal family core, Naruto and Sasuke had each one a great fucking deal of trauma and problems that were much too heavy for their age. Sakura’s questions were more of their age, her problems were trivial for Sasuke and Naruto, but even so Kakashi had the emotional intelligence to deal with each of their pains accurately, the way each of them needed.
That being said, it might look like Kakashi didn’t give Sakura the attention that she needed, but, in my opinion, she is to him like that one child who the parents never needed to lose their sleep for. He could count on her to train right, to think with a clear head, to take the right decisions, to not skip training, and I could go on and on here. The thing is, Naruto and Sasuke were always making things that would make any fatherly figure worried, while Sakura were never that person. I absolutely believe he praised her a lot, but the thing is that Naruto and Sasuke were always making him worried.
And I’ll never get over the fact that Kakashi literally called out Sasuke for his bullshit literally for the sake of her feelings. It’s not only about praising her, or training her or teaching things, but it’s also about the capacity to really see into her feelings and being able to process and say it for her. It’s defending and protecting her heart and I think this is caring so much. Sakura never needed anyone to push by the hand and teach her like she was a child, but i absolutely belive Kakashi was there when she needed that training.
Naruto fans: Kakashi always favored Sasuke over Naruto.
Meanwhile Kakashi and Naruto:
I love how Kakashi was always trying to make sure that Naruto is eating his veggies
I can't get over how Sasuke is looking at them here, lmao 😂
Part 2, for Sakura
A reminder that Kakashi outsmarted Itachi in their second fight and Itachi couldn't beat him anymore, since people in this fandom always loves to remember their 1st fight and absolutely ignore their 2nd one.
Why Kakashi lost the first time? He said it himself
The Uchiha clan kept so many things about the Sharingan secret and those secrets died with them in the Uchiha massacre, he didn't know anything about the Mangekyo Sharingan, he didn't even know he had one himself or that each Mangekyo Sharingan had it's own special abilities and so he didn't know that rhis particular Genjutsu Itachi was using wasn't like the regular Sharingan Genjutsu, he didn't know that it's absolutely impossible for anyone to break Itachi's Tsukuyomi except if they are Itachi's blood relatives so the only person that existed in the world that would be able to do that was Sasuke and absolutely no one knew this except Itachi who stated this fact later.
Kakashi lost this fight because he was misinformed, because the had no one to tell him about the Mangekyo Sharingan and because Itachi spent 2 years being Kakashi's subordinate that he knew everything about him, his fighting style, the way he thinks and everything while Kakashi knew nothing about Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan... Kakashi had a great disadvantage here and this is why he lost but he learned from that and stood right back up and kicked ass.
It doesn't matter if you lost once or twice, what matters is that you won't drown in that loss and that you use it to learn and get better and stronger and that's what Kakashi did.
Kakashi isn't like those other ninja gods who were handed godly powers from thin air, he's one of the most realistic characters in Naruto, he stumbles and falls but refuses to stay down, he gets back up and learns from his mistakes and work harder and gets stronger and stronger as the story goes and we've all witnessed how his power level kept improving from the beginning of Naruto until the end... Kakashi in og Naruto who couldn't use more than 3 Chidori per day is different from Kakashi in early Shippuden who was still learning how to use Kamui, and both are different from Kakashi in mid Shippuden when was fighting Kakuzu and Hidan and was able to use Chidori a lot more than 3 times or the Kakashi in the Pain arc who literally died from using Kamui twice and all of them are different from Kakashi the powerhouse we saw in the war who was spamming Chidori and Kamui like it was nothing for 2 days straight without any rest and even before getting any chakra from Naruto and all of them pale in comparison to his powerlevel now after losing the Sharingan and after working and training so hard, learning and inventing countless of powerful Jutsu until he became much much stronger than he ever was.
It's so exhausting seeing your favorite character being constantly and unfairly downplayed all the time like this.
How Kakashi's mental health negatively effected his strength and why he was getting stronger and stronger throughout the story.
Have you ever wondered why Tsunade was surprised that Itachi defeated Kakashi and was so angry that she scolded him for losing?
That's because Tsunade personally knowing Kakashi's power level as a Shinobi and that he shouldn't have lost that fight ... Then what happened?!.
Aside from the things I explained in the second half of this post, Kakashi was actually rusty, after Hiruzen got him out of Anbu and before he gets team 7, Kakashi's mental health was at it's lowest, he lost the Anbu missions which despite not being good for him and was actually making his depression worse, it's was the only thing that was keeping him busy, so now he had too much free time, he was failing all of the students he got and apparently he wasn't being sent to S or A ranked missions and according to his own statements he stopped training too
And here in his fight with Zabuza he states that it has been so long since he had a fight like this
And here he once again confirms that he hasn't had a fight like this since he left Anbu
Now, remember when Kakashi was teaching team 7 to walk on trees and was explaining chakra control? Kakashi explained that the physical AND mental energies combine to form chakra.
And this is why having a bad mental health can effect the Shinobi's overall strength greatly.
Then Kakashi gets team 7 and slowly things starts to get better gradually especially in Shippuden when he tells Naruto this
And then he got to meet his father and forgive him and know that because of it his father too can now move on and can finally join his mother.
And then during the war he got the chance to properly say goodbye to Rin, Obito and Minato and then later they even get Sasuke back.
He finally gets to move on.. even the Sharingan that was a constant reminder of his pain and failures was gone. When he says "As of today Kakashi of The Sharingan is no more" it holds a much more deeper meaning than just losing the Sharingan. "Kakashi of the Sharingan" was the man who had the weight of the whole world on his shoulders, who was always burdened by his guilt, his failures and everything he lost, that sad broken man who used to be called "Kakashi of the Sharingan" is no more. The new Kakashi gets to have a new beginning with all of the friends and precious people he still has, who has filled the hole in his heart, in a new era of peace, the peace that they all fought so hard to get and now they finally have. And this is why Hokage Kakashi is much much more stronger than he ever was. The current Kakashi has a perfect mental energy combined with a perfect physical energy (especially after losing the chakra drain of the Sharingan and the great toll it used to put on his body) and he is even training and learning so many new powerful Jutsu and inventing new ones like it's stated in Kakashi Retsuden. The new Kakashi finally gets to use his full potentials without all the emotional baggage that used to hold him back 🥺❤️
aw i found the sequel!! ;U;
A actual fucking hero dude
I’m tempted to say, “Not all heroes wear capes,” but I get the impression this Fine Fellow probably owns more than one.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
