Would you be interested in a tag dedicated to non-crossover Danny Phantom content? If so, which one would you want to use?

I don't want a dedicated tag

This would be used in addition to the danny phantom tag, turning it into a true umbrella tag for everything related to Danny Phantom, while having a few major sub-tags for people to find exactly what they want.

After some more discussion with members of the fandom in the notes of my poll asking about a community and elsewhere, it seems like the better option for everyone might actually be a new tag, so I'm making a new poll here!
Some answers to questions I think people might have are below the readmore:
Q: Why are all of these only one word?
A: For the same reason the dpxdc tag is only one word! Tumblr's tagging implementation is Not Good. Tags with spaces don't play well with it, and especially don't play well with blocked tags. If someone wants to block non-crossover Danny Phantom content, we want to make it as painless as possible for them.
Q: What issues were raised around communities?
A: A few! To name some of them:
Limited interactions with posts: Communities only let you react with emoji and leave comments on posts reblogged into them. Not great, if we want to have long reblog chains riffing on one another
Original Posters aren't notified if someone else reblogs their post into a community, even if it's public. So if someone reblogged your post into the community for you, you wouldn't know about it -- or know to look for people interacting with it.
Communities have mods, and therefore would need trustworthy, engaged mods to make it work. Over a short time frame, we could probably manage it! But over a longer one, a community for an entire fandom would probably have moderator drama. That could lead to fracturing, or people leaving specifically because they don't like the mods, etc. A tag is a lot less active maintenance.
A few people also expressed a general dislike for the feature, even if they were willing to move to one. This seems like a much smaller change that will let those people stay away from a feature they don't like, while interacting with the content they do.
Q: What about less-common crossovers? Won't those get excluded from this tag?
A: They will. I'm asking about this poll first because I figured getting the community to make a decision about the other crossovers would be easier if we'd already decided on the non-crossovers.
The current idea is to move those to their own tag as well, so they can get dedicated attention from the crossover enthusiasts who love them. One of the people I talked to about this runs the niche-dp-crossovers blog, so it's on the radar. If you have concerns or suggestions about that, the notes on this post is as good a place as any to suggest them!
Sorry Jack I'm taking my issue out of the tags. Starting with I get and support this poll. However I have concerns.
My fear with this, with us moving to a different tag, comes in a few forms:
1. It's extremely fucked up that we're having to move out of our own fandom tag to find our own fandom's content. That's absolutely insane, and I hope everyone realizes this. So on principle, I don't like this.
2. My main fear is that this will give people the wrong impression. I can already start to see it in the tags of this post, and I'm worried that it will make dpxdc people think they now have the golden pass to flood the main tag with their content because "well, the dp phandom has their own separate tag now so it's okay!!" Because people aren't understanding that posts like these are us literally crying out for help and throwing shit at a wall and seeing what can stick because we've now spent the past 2 years basically unable to browse our own tag without having to block like hundreds of people (which for anyone like me who likes community events, having people blocked during event times is shitty and that's why I've been refraining from doing it for the most part though I'm seriously reconsidering my stance on that).
I agree, I would LOVE a space with danny phantom content again. But the thing is, that space has, for over ten years, been the danny phantom tag.
At this point, I am desperate enough for a tag like #dponly—which seems to be the fan favorite—or literally anything else. If people adopt it, I will use it, make no mistake. But that's not a GOOD thing. And yeah, as I said in the tags, it makes me sad that we're at this point.
Like I get that people have been sitting here for two years now quietly waiting for dpxdc people to all get the memo and stop flooding the tags, and it's either people being ignorant or inconsiderate which is why we're still waiting. I get that we're all tired of the damn gray boxes, we're so sick of seeing all the OOC content from people who have never watched the show, and we all want a solution. I just hope that people understand that if we do this, this is a BANDAID fix. Not a real one.
This is PERFECT for those people who have been annoyed at the crossovers for whatever reason.
#dponly
And lexx, I disagree. The danny phantom tag has always had crossovers in it, bc the dp tag is the larger umbrella term for everything dp related. It's only been an issue recently because of the popularity of dpxdc has been so large.
Ultimately, we can argue taxonomy all we want but the true problem isnt that 'a coconut has hair and produces milk therefore is a mammal', its that someone put coconut on the grill for a barbecue. It still can taste good! But if someone served nothing but coconut at a bbq i would be disappointed.
This is a great solution. Coconut at barbecues has become a recent fad, but if you want to host a bbq without coconut, then you can! It will also mean theres no grilled pineapple or veggies bc you called it a meat-only bbq but thats okay cause no system was going to be perfect.
But now you get the meat you wanted so badly without having to police everyone everywhere. Also i may have gone a little too deep into the metaphor lol
My point being, when you are asking for dp-only content, you are asking for a subsection of all dp content that exists, just like how crossovers are a specific subsection, too. So making a more specific tag for it is a great idea.
I mean, tags have always been for personal blog organization and filtering (even if the site breaks them half the time)
If someone wants to tag their dcxdp post with Danny phantom tag, then it’s well within their logic to do so. While I can understand the frustration of seeing a crossover boom in a tag you like, it’s not exactly fair to point a curled finger at the crossover tags like “well THEY can’t be here” when they’re also just trying to participate in fandom.
Does it make browsing annoying to block variations of dcxdp? Yes, and I can see why. But we also have to understand that the dp fandom is one of the site’s older ones, and just like everything else, will go through cycles of popularity in regards to other media and crossovers. Having another tag for #dponly isn’t saying that you can’t use the Danny Phantom tag anymore, it’s just another thing that solely dp posters can use if they want, for ease of organization.
And give it six months, dcxdp is already not at the same peak popularity it was a year ago, eventually the cycle will do what it does, and people will cycle to different crossovers, media, characters.
No one owns the fandom. No one gets to dictate what can and can't be tagged. It's not your job to decide who is and isn't allowed to use the show tag.
You're not being pushed out of a fandom tag, you're sharing that space with more people. And you're doing a pretty bad job of sharing that space as it is, Lex.
If anything, I've just been watching people get pushed out of multiple fandoms because they've been getting harassed by people who feel they have some sort of divine right to a Tumblr tag, of all things.
You can still use the DP tag. It's not going anywhere. And Stove is right, give it a year and DPxDC could die down for a completely different crossover fad. Who knows?
All I know is it's not my job to police how people use a fandom tag, and neither is it yours.
We're in the same fandom. We're all writing fanfic about the same half-dead kid for a show that hasn't been on the air for over 20 years. If you can't learn to share the main show tag, then why are you still playing in the sandbox?
Love the idea of a separate tag for those that want their own little space.

Happy 21st anniversary everyone! I was apart of the RePhanimated project! We're hoping the completed video will go up soon, but the project coordinator's channel is facing copyright issues with YouTube rn. Please keep an eye out for the finished video on the channel linked!
Hello!!! This is some fan-art of jaemyun's DPxDC fic Who You Gonna Call?
I don't have much to say, this fic is amazing. I really liked Phantom's design in it, so here we are! I tried to incorporate some of the uncanny-ness of the guy's long arms, and I imagine him being pretty spindly? I also threw some minor head-cannons in there.
The sketches at the end are some visual concepts of Danny, Tucker, and Sam. Definitely gonna rework Sam's design if I have time between college stuff, I don't think the way it is now really looks like her.
Anyway, I am a firm believer in tall Danny(at the very least), that boy is the son of a brick building of a man. Also, I tried to incorporate a little bit of Dan-ness in his face, just because I think it would be inevitable for him not to share some resemblance as he gets older, which is my reasoning for him looking the way he does.
Either way, both Sam & Danny are probably gonna get re-vamped if I end up drawing their Gala outfits from chapter 8. Tucker will probably not, I like how his face turned out.
Blah! Whatever :D! Go read jaemyun's fic, it's amazing! Their characterization is bonkers-over-yonkers insanely good, I cannot state this enough!
My part for the @invisobang event !
Night scenes aren’t easy but it was very fun and challenging !
Big ty for the organizators and my two partners @mystyrust and @serinji 😭

After months of extensive investigation and analysis of the Ectohominfans Minimus (commonly known as the "Little Baby Man"), the researchers at the Institute of Little Guy Research (ILGR) has released this handy guide to further the public's education and understanding of this remarkable and elusive creature.
ILGR would like to remind you that Ectohominfans Minimus, though small, can pose great danger to life and limb if agitated. Please do not approach a Common Little Baby Man in the wild without proper handling education and equipment. Remember: they're less afraid of you than you are of them.
Here's my piece for the Worlds Collide DpxDC fanzine!
I had a ton of fun working on this, and I'm happy to get to share it! I wanted to work outside of my comfort zone, both in terms of perspective, and in using a more restrictive color palette.
There's a ton more amazing artwork and fics to see in the fanzine!

Thank you to everyone who was involved in this project for all your hard work. We would not have a zine put together at all without the dedicated work of every writer and artist who contributed.
DPxDC is a playground with vast possibilities. Whether it’s a cute comic shipping characters in different media or a vast epic exploring the themes of life and death in two different settings that have different relationships with the topic, there is so much potential for creativity. You all came together to show a glimpse of that here.
We as a mod team want to give a special thank you to everyone who helped make this zine possible, we appreciate each and every contributor, and each and every person who has made this fandom what it is today. Thank you for your ideas, your stories, your art pieces, your creativity. You are what keeps this fandom alive and you are what makes this fandom so utterly special.
As you open this zine you will find a large array of stories within this crossover. Fics where Jazz is a member of the Green Lantern Corps, or stories where Danny meets Barbara through a computer, art pieces of Tim investigating the mystery that is Amity Park and the Super Sons plus Dani playing in a park. This zine shows the true extent of what it means when Worlds Collide in the DPxDC fandom and we hope that you all enjoy and cherish the work that these amazing and talented contributors have put into making this zine possible.
Thank you everyone for such an amazing zine, we hope you enjoy.

Plasmius' ghost core and why y'all need to focus on it more (and it being plasma)
So, it's in the name already.
He's called Plasmius for a reason, so if we cling to that and let ourselves believe his core element is plasma, this makes him the perfect worst case scenario for Danny.
WHAT EVEN IS PLASMA?
The four elements each have a state of matter linked to them:
Solid (earth)
Liquid (water)
Gas (air)
Plasma (fire)
It makes sense for people to read this as a fire core for Vlad, yes.
HOWEVER
Plasma is way more interesting than a regular old candle flame.
Firstly, it's hotter than a normal flame. Granted it can vary massively, but in general the plasma state of an atom is reached when a gas is raised to over 10,000°C (18,032°F) as a minimum.
(Stars are big balls of plasma and are in the millions of degrees)
Your average candle flame, at its hottest part, will only be about 1400°C (2552°F). Even an entire house fire would only get to 2000°C (3632°F) at its highest.
So it's potentially. Very hot.
Not fun for an ice core I bet.
Examples of naturally occurring plasma would be lightening or the aurora borealis (northern lights).
BUT
Plasma can be cold.
It'll still be a nightmare for Danny (potentially).
Cold plasma is created artificially by applying an electrical and/or magnetic field through a gas.
In order for the plasma to be maintained, those fields need to be maintained.
Ie. Vlad is potentially constantly thrumming with an electrical field.
Often people here will use Danny's portal accident to give him some aversion/deep phobia/vulnerability to electricity which makes the concept of Vlad's artificially made plasma very fun.
Not for Danny.
For the sake of causing our favourite ghost protagonist pain, I like to think Vlad could have control over both occurrences of plasma and be an absolute nightmare for Danny in every way.
Also there's some great irony to our space boy's nemesis have control over the state of matter that literally makes up stars.
