People are getting kidnapped, arrested, raped and killed. This has been going on for a few days now but naturally there’s hardly any media coverage.

THE WORLD CARES MORE ABOUT AN EMPTY CHURCH IN FRANCE THAN HUNDREDS OF INNOCENT BLACK MUSLIMS DYING IN SUDAN.

Okay sorry to get political on this blog but this has my largest following. Sudan has been in a media and internet black out for over 160 hours. Today was the time I had heard of it because we are finally getting reports in about what is happening. It is not because we don’t care, it’s not because we are racist, or Islamophobic, or because we care more about an “an empty church” (a place where they held Mass every Sunday and was a functioning church with a thriving congregation, but that doesn’t further your “you are bad” agenda). It’s because most people literally haven’t heard about it.

You know what my mom and friends did when I told them about what was happening? They prayed, they looked for ways they could help, and they told others. Why does every fucking thing have to be a “well you don’t care about this as much as that so you are a terrible person. I’m also going to ignore that the vast majority of the population don’t know about this yet because it makes me feel morally superior”

Fuck off with that condescending attitude because all you do is turn people off and make people ignore you and ignore information that needs to be spread.

Also @gahdamnpunk the first tweet you shared literally said there has been a blackout there. How are our media outlets supposed to know what is going on when there is nothing coming out of the country until now
