Apollo as Lester with amnesia is great, Apollo as Lester getting claimed as a Zeus kid when he arrives at camp half blood because Zeus is both possessive and petty and this way it would isolate Apollo away from his kids is fun, combine them and oh baby youre cooking with gas.

I feel like whenever people talk about mouthwashing and its story, noone really mentions the TV scenes, like at all. I didn't understand all of them, but I'll try to go briefly over them

1. Basically Pony Express / Job propaganda, assuring the individual that they are well taken care of and well paid enough to focus on the familly

2. Galaxy turning into a Supernova / Black hole (not sure which, I'm not good at these things). Basically shows how a little mistake can doom everything

3. Promotion for some sort of tonic. Didn't understand the words enough to comment

4. Skeletons and creepy effects, basically foreshadowing how they all will die in the end

5. Mouthwash ad, basically lying about everything that the product actually is. By Anya's verdict, that thing is too full of sugar to be even slightly effective

For the 3rd, it was selling a tonic by the name of "ism" that promised no strikes, being the big boss, all of these amazing things showing that ism is the tonic you need.

What ends with ism? Capitalism.

(and communism, which I believe was likely what the original cartoon was critiquing, but i doubt was meant to be seen in this way)

So much about the pony express has been used to critique the capitalistic nature of companies and the importance of the bottom line. Capitalism being presented as a cure all to woes by a snake oil salesman when it's in actuality the cause of it fits Mouthwashing pretty well.
