Hello, there! I go by Ryn—any playful variations are welcome. I'm fine with any pronouns (but she/her only rarely).

Do you post suggestive/nsfw content? I post/reblog fandom stuff that would be considered nsfw, and I have several art projects planned that would include artistic nudity. They will be tagged if applicable. I don't know that I would recommend that minors follow me, but that's not really up to me.

Do you post gore and other potentially sensitive content? Yes. They will be tagged accordingly. If I miss a tag, please let me know.

Do you include accessibility features? I try to include Image Descriptions in the ALT text of each image. A lot of my art is abstract/non-representational, so I'm not always sure how. If anyone wants to add image descriptions in their reblog, I would be happy to add them to the original post. I also do my best to include an "eyestrain" tag when applicable.

DNI list? I don't put much stock into those. I just block and move on.

Can I commission you? I would love to receive commissions! There are a few things I need to set up first. Will update soon.

Can I find you elsewhere? This is the only place I post my art, but that might change. I have a portfolio website, but I haven't updated that in a while. Will link here when the site is actually functional lmao.

Collins is gone.

Namaygoosisagagun First Nation/Collins has burned to the ground. The entire community is nothing but ashes after being quickly consumed by wildfires. They did not have any support from emergency services, and no one offered aid. The community saved themselves by escaping into boats because no one came.

Mishkeegogamang and Cat Lake have lost power. Families are ending up in shelters with nothing. Armstrong, Lac La Croix, Whitesand, Gull Bay, Lac des Mille Lacs are currently in the fires path and all members are being evacuated.

All this loss, all this devastation, and it was entirely preventable.

After steadily underfunding wildland firefighting and purposefully excluding Indigenous wildland firefighters and Indigenous wildfire organizations from wildfire operations, firefighter training, decisionmaking, and resource exchanges, in 2025, Doug Ford slashed the forest firefighting budget.

It's hard to ignore his decision to cut funding and leave us out of adequate fire training (even though we've lived with forest fires for thousands of years—far longer than settlers have been in Canada—and made sure fires like the ones we're all seeing today were prevented through kinisitotēn) when, despite making up less than 5% of the population, we account for 42% percent of all wildfire evacuations in Canada.

And when we are successfully evacuated, we face discrimination and racism—like Kashechewan—because it's always been easier to blame us than it is to blame the true culprit: denialism, corportate greed, and colonization.

The people of Collins and every other impacted community deserve better.

Right now, the AFN is currently accepting donations to help Collins First Nation. If you're able to, please consider donating.

ONWA (Ontario Native Women's Association) is another great place to donate to. They have outreach vans going to motels and inns and offering food, water, resources, and cultural support to those impacted by the wildfires.

Other places to consider donating to are Mikinakoos Emergency Fund, Red Cross, True North Aid, Indigenous Climate Action. You can also send donations directly to Whitesand First Nation via e-transfer ([email protected]) and they request that you add your full name in the e-transfer comment section to receive a tax receipt.

*Before sending money, verify that the appeal appears on an official First Nation, Tribal Council or registered charity channel.

pissing myself off thinking about how abaddon could have been good

i was reading this fic and it really got me thinking about what if abaddon was good.

i'm always saying that devil may care is kind of a blueprint for what season nine could have been: kevin is a real part of team free will, and he's growing into quite the dirt bag. we're taking demon politics seriously and paying attention to them. but most importantly this speech is the closest abaddon ever gets to seeming like a real threat. this makes her a personal danger and it makes her dean's personal villain. she's succeeding at being kind of scary here.

but there is a fundamental flaw. which is that dean should have said yes. when abaddon said have you ever felt an infant's blood drip down your chin, or listened to a girl scream as you rip her guts out? dean should have said yes.

look, this is dean. dean, alastair's best torturer. the guy who liked it better in purgatory than on earth because it was just pure violence. "what i'm good at is slicing throats." later this season, dean is gonna take the mark of cain. it's going to turn him into a knight of hell - just like abaddon. she should be functioning as a kind of shadow-self here.

and she... kind of is, but there's something missing. which is the acknowledgement that well. abaddon is evil, but there's something evil in dean too. something he is ashamed of, maybe afraid of, but it exists. there is something inside dean similar to abaddon, something that is a product of hell, or just a part of himself that fit in a little too well there. i want you to compare this scene, the haunted look in dean's eyes when dean says "yeah, she can." the haunted look that means i can, too, and i didn't come by it honestly. i want that vibe here.

of course in the rest of the season abaddon is mostly crowley's villain, which fails pretty badly since the show really has no idea what to do with crowley in season nine. crowley himself manages to still be fun because crowley is already a well laid out and developed character and more importantly mark sheppard is a great and charming actor. abaddon, unfortunately, has neither of these advantages, and ends up a pretty nothing villain because of it.

like the thing is abaddon could have been doing an amara thing but eviller and dropping the "romance" element of it entirely. let that sit in subtext. if she'd been dean's villain, if part of the threat of season nine was that she wants to wear dean's skin. and a tiny part of dean wants to let her. well.
