viridescent ;; dennis & anthea
“Paintin’ huh?” Dennis grinned, thinking about what she could have chosen as her subjects. The first thing that came to mind was fruits, people, and landscapes, in that specific order. …But mostly fruits, of course, since this was Dennis we were talking about here!
“That sounds real relaxin’, somethin’ ya’d like ta do. The most paintin’ I do is on cars n’ bikes n’ such, so I guess that don’t count, huh?” He chuckled, shaking his head. He wasn’t much of an artist to be quite honest… His creativity was more focused on that of mechanical things, as predicted. The biker enjoyed tinkering around, after all.
He could have sworn, though… Did he hear something amiss with how she’d laughed just then? Perhaps he was reading too much into it… He knew he was pretty bad at reading people, so that might just be it, but still. He couldn’t help but be just a little bit worried.
Luckily for the both of them, a new topic was introduced, so they didn’t have to dwell on this any much longer. Food.
“Oh! Yeah! There’s plenty a’ places t’ eat here! I know all the best ones,” he said excitedly, his eyes almost shining with his wide smile. “Might not be some five star restaurant, but sure ta make ya both full!”
…Wait. Did she just… Call him… Dennis?
He looked at her with a surprised expression for a moment, blinking. Then his smile came back, but it was less full of energy and more just simple, genuine and soft happiness. Finally.
a nod of her head follows when he speaks. she doesn’t exactly want to spill everything about what she used to do in her younger years, but she doesn’t mind sharing about what happened to be her favourite hobby.
“yes, painting. i used to.. paint pictures of my siblings and.. my father.” anthea laughs lightly, agreeing with him on the next few words he speaks. “it was relaxing. i plan on getting back into it one day. and i’m sure that painting on card and motorcycles counts as being an artistic form of painting! after all, it still takes plenty of time to learn how to do it right!“
she pipes up when he mentions that he knows plenty of places to get nice food, causing both herself and her happiny to cheer up. between her hunger and her legs hurting, it be good for the baby pokémon to get some rest, just as she had predicted before asking the tall man.
“i don’t mind if they’re not fancy, after all, the quaintest places have the nicest food. would that not be the truth when it comes to this lovely little city?“ the pink haired girl wisps hair away from her face by freeing one hand from holding her happiny. “well then, dennis, please lead the way!”
she takes several steps backwards, and nods her head softly as if to tell him to show the way.
