Mae govannen! And happy Midsummer and Yule Festivals! This is my Silmarillion, LOTR, and LOTRO blog. I currently have 4 characters, all on Glamdring ☆ Currently working on finding a background for each of my characters; Stay Tuned for my LOTRO fics and character analysis!

Hello there!✨

I'm Ea, ae/aer and they/them pronouns. I speak Italian and English, and I do my best in Sindarin. I'm learning Quenya (Noldorin, Telerin, and Vanyarin) so feel free to talk to me about them!

This is my everything Tolkien blog, particularly The Silmarillion and LOTRO, so expect a lot of LOTRO liveblogging, where I'll be recounting all my funny (and less funny) deaths, my attempts at soloing instances just to fail miserably, and everything else I deem worth of sharing!

My blog name, seaside-wanderer, is a title you can get by doing a quest in the Cape of Belfalas Homesteads.

I also LOVE playing in fellowships and helping out so come find me anytime on Glamdring, and I WILL play with you (this is a threat)

I enjoy crafting light/medium armours on my tailor (Doomfold), shinies and utilities on my jeweller/scholar (Westfold), and generally play together.

I currently have 4 characters, all of which on Glamdring:

Aeargail: high elf, blue mariner, lvl 82, jeweller/prospector/scholar, of the Shadow Riders of Ringló Vale; 90% of the time I'll be online with him [🌊]

Fasvald: hobbit, blue guardian, lvl 122, Valar boosted; I enjoy swimming in The Wastes with him and pointing and laughing at regenerating morale faster than he can lose it [🛡️]

Heliflower: man, blue/red minstrel, lvl 82, forester/tailor, of a small kinship with my IRL friends, called Gilda Della Fossa; I'm online with him only to play with my friends or craft armour for someone [🎻]

Seinn: elf, red burglar, lvl 32 [🗡️]

I've played LOTRO for three years now, but never thought I'd make a blog about it; however, here it is!

The moon on the surface of the pond did glow Giving a shimmering light to the objects below When what to his wondering eyes did appear But a thousand red crabs, including one he held dear

With a star on the leader’s shell, a crab so lively and quick Maedhros knew immediately this was no dream trick More rapid than eagles the other crabs came And the leader waved his claw as Maedhros called out his name

“Maglor, you better not be throwing a crab rave out there!”

Can you imagine being Gandalf? Getting shit from other wizards because you have a thing for hobbits and you're just like, okay. Okay, maybe I'll temper my fascination with hobbits.

This Ring quest will have two hobbits. Maximum.

Then they all get to Rivendell and have somehow multiplied into four hobbits. And it's like. Okay. Maybe the others are right.

Maybe this is too many hobbits.

We have as many hobbits as we have not-hobbits.

But damn it, you just don't want to get rid of any of these hobbits. Screw it! Everyone can deal. Four hobbits. This is a four hobbits problem.

So away you go.

And things go bad in the worst possible way.

Over and over.

You've lost your hobbits. You've lost yourself. The fellowship has been separated.

It takes everything in your power to help the humans defend themselves, bringing them together to save Rohan. Finally, as things begin to look upright, you're ready to face the war with everything the Rohirrim have left.

You're ready to face him. This may be the hardest battle you've ever fought. But you ride.

Then you get there and two of your fucking hobbits are sitting there like "Yeah, while you were gone, we raised a tree army and beat Saruman's ass. Wanna help us loot his tower?"

....

There were not, in fact, too many hobbits.

This was a four hobbits problem.

i am banned from eating my herring inside. they make me eat it on the smoking area by the loading dock, under the theory that it already smells bad there. but it was raining today which was preventing my breakfast, so i was feeling sad and hungry and then i realized that there was a large cardboard box in the dumpster from a previous delivery. like a fridge sized box. so i fished it out of the dumpster, then tipped it on its side and had a nice little cardboard cave to watch the rain and eat my fish in. which was a great experience. very soothing. very zen. at least until the security guard from the day before stepped outside to smoke. then i tried hiding from him by crawling deeper in the box, which unfortunately did not work. instead he saw a sort of damp sniveling pale hairless creature eating fish in a box, and delivered the verbal killshot of "good morning, mr. smeagol." which is how my day was ruined before 8 am.
