In Preparation for Sweet Elite’s Full Version and Chapter 3!
Chapter 3 and the full version of Sweet Elite are coming very soon! We are very excited for this big release and we hope that you will be there to play!
As many of you know, the version of the game that is currently online at www.sweetelitegame.com is currently a demo. While it gives you a good idea of what you can expect for the full version of Sweet Elite, it does not contain all of the features that we have wanted to implement. Many things had to be improved: the art, the coding, the paying options, the design and the overall player experience. Therefore, at the time, the staff and I had decided to make the demo 100% free to play in order to compensate for the improvements that had to be done to justify waiting for a full product.
However, after a couple of months of work, we are finally ready to unveil Sweet Elite’s full version! Since we have received many questions regarding its release (and Chapter 3′s release), we have decided to compile everything into one massive FAQ post.
So here are answers to your questions about the release:
1) Is Chapter 3 going to be released with the full version?
Yes! They are going to be released together. The moment Chapter 3 comes online, so does the full version of the game.
2) What will the full version of the game include?
It will include the completed city map! This means a clothing shop, a mini-game, paying options, and a few more surprises ;)
It also includes a complete revamp of the art: the sprites have been re-done and the illustrations optimized. There have also been a few design and visual changes to the website. Basically, we’re getting as close as possible to a fully completed product.
3) Will I be able to keep my progress for Chapters 0, 1 and 2?
Unfortunately, no. We have completely optimized the current database for players in order to completely eliminate the bugs that have been reported to us during the demo’s run. This will necessitate a complete reset of your accounts. This means that yes, you will have to replay Chapters 0, 1 and 2.
4) Will Chapters 0, 1 and 2 stay free forever?
Chapter 0 will stay free forever because it’s dumb to make you guys pay for a tutorial chapter. However, Chapters 1 and 2 will not be free anymore following the release of the full version.
NOTE: For all users that have registered during the demo run, we will credit your account with enough energy to complete one playthrough of Chapters 1 and 2. Thus, you will effectively be able to play one last playthrough for free and start Chapter 3 right away. This is as thanks for being such awesome players during the demo :)
So if you’re still not convinced to start playing the demo, this is your last chance to get all of the benefits associated with being a demo player! You still have several days left!
5) But what about the illustrations and achievements I’ve unlocked during the demo? Will I lose those too?
No, you will be able to keep them! Your progress in the story will be reset, but we are working to keep what you’ve unlocked, forever.
6) Are you guys going to be releasing merchandise for the full version?
