Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

Shazam Fury of the gods fanart ⚡️

I was going to save this for a later date, buuutt I finished it a lot sooner than I thought I would (which was just now, at the time of writing this.) And it’s not some major spoiler art, So I thought I would post it!

Anyway I ended up drawing him, here's what I got done in two days

Fury of the Gods is still playing non stop in my head, the movie was so good I'm just fuled with even more love for Billy

So I just saw the new Shazam movie!!

I'll admit, i wasn't super excited for it besides that it was more Billy Batson content, but I really enjoyed the movie!

There won't be any spoilers in this post, and I will give more of my thoughts in a later one once it's been out for longer, but I will just share some of my non spoiler thoughts!

I was surprised that DC seemed to learn it's lesson with the first movie. Surprising for the DCEU.

To me, this was mainly that the plot of the first movie felt weak and forced. Shit was just happening for the sake of it. Though it was better than the comic it was partially based on 💀. (The new 52 one 😥)

I LOVED the character development that was put into the movie, and the new characters that were introduced. Overall the movie was slightly cringy, but very loveable. There were a few moments where it was genuinely funny. I really liked it! But there were a few that felt painful to watch, but I'm chalking that up to just them being teenagers.

The ending, I'm a bit iffy about, it was good, but damn. I just. I can't even say anything because I really don't wanna spoil it for anyone haha. Safe to say I'm looking out for new fanfics about the movie, and might just make some cringe ones myself. + Art ofc 👀

But that, like the rest of my thoughts on the movie, will be shared on a later date.

Again, I loved the movie, mainly because I love billy batson. But I would recommend it to other billy enjoyers.

Gonna finish up this post now so I don't accidentally spoil anything ☺️.

I’ll be honest I don’t think it will be as good as pren52 but it certainly was so much better than the first movie. Which is of course enjoyable, but it’s not a great Billy Batson movie.

Billy Batson at a convention

Hear me out on this-

Yes I know I have a billion fic ideas on my list waiting to be written, but shush!

Imagine the Justice League deciding to attend a huge superhero convention as guests of honor for their fans and meet everyone, and to also help raise their public image. They don't all appear on the same day, showing up on separate days bc of security reasons, and Captain Marvel, being a long standing member of the JL, is invited, too. He is completely ecstatic about it, but decides to decline. He says he has important Champion of Magic duties to attend to and before anyone can ask, he Flys off. JL is a bit disappointed he won't be there, but understanding.

On the days of the convention, the JL are met with endless happy fans overjoyed to meet them. They all sign autographs, shake hands, etc. They all even remember one cute fan by the name of Billy Batson who handed them all adorable hand drawn pictures of them as a little gift. He was so sweet and even got to take a picture with all of the members.

The reason CM couldn't attend the convention as CM was bc he wanted to express his love, respect and admiration to his coworkers fully. He also was too nervous to ask for their autographs before, so this was a golden opportunity to have some fun as just Billy.

Justice League: we need someone to break into this Juvenile Prison for this mission, but none of our kid heroes can do it because we don’t want them to get a criminal record in their civilian identities! Billy, was actively running away from the cops when he was called into this meeting, already has a criminal record, DEFINITELY knows the layout of this juvie: uh hey guys did you know I have UH shapeshifting powers?
