Heu guys I've just recently finished my 12 Month Zodiac Wallpaper Challenge
This marked the start of my Tumblr journey actually. All the way back in late March 2025. I have been doing this wallpaper challenge since 2024 but that was in Facebook with Greek Gods. These 12 months I've learned new art techniques and I get to see how much my art has evolved. That's the joy with timely projects like these. I get to look back to where I started, and then see how far I've gone
I will actually be starting a new wallpaper challenge on June as well so stay tuned for that ^^

Cosplayed Polites watching the Odyssey movie today yaaaaaaaaa
Honest opinion on the Odyssey: itās so peak. Eurylochus is my favorite character now
It was a really cool take on Homerās epic. Itās a dark and serious movie and I always knew it was gon be good just not THIS good. The scenes were beautifully shot, the acting was phenomenal (especially Antinous), and the overall story was written with fire. The scare factor was well done, body horror, displaying genuine fear, and making it feel like theyāre actually in danger instead of smth they couldāve easily avoided (mostly but that scene was intentional)
The ending was perfect. The final battle, build up, emotions, and throwbacks makes it really feel like Odysseus has finally reached his goal after going through that journey. I can say the same for the intro too. It was small and a bit vague to give some context, and then it all clicks and connects sooner into the movie

Eurylochus death was a bit sad imo. I was mentally screaming āEURYLOCHUUUUUUSSSSSSā when he died. Unlike in the book where heās a bit mutinous and often butts heads with Ody, heās actually a very chill and reasonable guy here, still questions him, but in a less violent manner

Hey guys for Jurassic July (Iām late for Jurassic June sorry) Iām gonna start another 12 month wallpaper challenge!
Eras of Life Part 1: Hallucigenia sparsa (Cambrian Period)
Hallucigenia was a lobopod named for its dreamy appearance. When it was first discovered, we didnāt know which way was which, so we constructed it with stilt legs and a long tail. We now know that the stilts were actually spines and its āheadā was actually decaying matter squeezed out of its butt when it died
Other featured animals: Anomalocaris canadensis, Omnidens amplus
Also spoilers for Monsterverse Declassified (majorish) and Kong: Survivor Instinct (minor)
Lahamu is Tiamatās daughter, who first (and currently only) appeared on the game Kong: Survivor Instinct. Itās not known how Tiamat got her offspring
Despite being a member of Tiamatās species, she looks vastly different from her mother, even more so since Tiamat herself evolved to have a different appearance by absorbing other creatureās dna
The other creature being none other than Asterias Abzu (or just Abzu), a giant starfish with a gaping mouth, 3 toothy tongues, green suction cups in place of tube feet, armored plates with pink crystal like spots scattered throughout, and a pink corrosive liquid
When Tiamat absorbed this titanās dna, she grew 4 legs, lost her tail fluke, and had vastly different fins on her back, having her adopt a pink color scheme instead of blue
Where does this take us? Abzu may be Lahamuās father. Letās start with overall appearance
She has many attributes that can be associated with Abzu that Tiamat, evolved or not, doesnāt possess:
Multiple tongues
2 Legs
Big mouth without beak like tip
In the mythological perspective, Abzu is the name of Tiamatās husband and fathered many kids including Lahamu. Knowing Monarch, they tend to name their kaiju on myths. They do not have to be 100% myth accurate and have the slightest correlation, such as Scylla having 6 legs instead of 6 heads and Abaddon still having an evil bug army except theyāre spiders instead of a locusts
Instead of being a loving couple, Tiamat and Abzu had a fight to the death and I believe that absorbing his dna may have lead to one of the these things:
Got pregnant and had Lahamu halfway through her transformation
Already was pregnant (likely through parthenogenesis) that also absorbed Abzuās dna

UPDATE: it has just come to my attention that Lahamu is probably bio engineered instead due to a new book so this theory may be invalid now

I watched Iron Lung again tonight in the comfort of my home and my dog must've been watching with me cause as soon as bad things started happening to Simon she started crying. In the scene where he ultimately dies she could not stop crying at me. I am now watching him play the Henry Stickman collection so she can see that A.) He's not dead and B.) He's not in distress. Occasionally he'll whine or hum in discontent about something and my dog will look at me and whine to try and get me to fix whatever is distressing Markiplier.
Normally Iād end art challenges with a reflection of my journey but by god the amount of stuff happening behind the scenes š
I still enjoyed Kaijune donāt worry (my fav is either Mirko, Tsuyu, or Bakugo) but the month of June as a whole was bad timing because all the inconveniences decided to show up now instead of the previous months so yea
Also this was supposed to be digital but I decided traditional would be better cuz I kinda wanna take a break from digital art before I can start animating and drawing there again (the animatic I have in progress is gon be peak trust)
