I’ve been seeing more posts about Eva Stratt
Like yes. Yes. She was just as much a sacrifice as Grace. The only difference is she knew it. And it makes me sick to my stomach.
She knew she would be humanity’s scapegoat in the end, even if she was trying to save humanity, and she probably rested easy on the fact that the one person in the world she really did care about, in some shape, way or form (even if it was twisted or even if she didn’t, there’s no changing the fact that Grace was hers in some type of way) would be okay.
And then she had to sacrifice him herself. She became the Judas goat that would end up being slaughtered.
Do you think she actually felt some sort of shameful connection to Grace when she had to send him off because they were both going to be sacrifices albeit in different forms? Grace would become the patron saint of one way trips, Stratt would become the lamb persecuted on the cross.
