The myth that “masculinity is always privileged over femininity” has gone so far that people literally tell trans men “no one is stopping you from being a man or masculine” to trans men/mascs like transphobia doesn’t exist.
“why are trans women excluded from this women’s space while trans men are welcomed with open arms???”
you look inside and the trans men and transmascs being “welcomed with open arms” are being misgendered, abused, pushed towards detransitioning, and the ones that are seen as too masculine to be treated as women-lite are being kicked out of the space the same as trans women
i’m just so fucking tired yall. you can talk about bad things happening to trans women without assuming the opposite must be true for trans men, you know that right?
Happy Pride month! 🌈
That post that's like "afab housing reveals the difference between transmisogyny and transandrophobia: trans women are denied housing while trans men just have to misgender themselves to get housing" is so stupid. I think the only thing it reveals is these people's view that trans men getting misgendered is simply not as big of a deal as when it happens to trans women.
Like, in this hypothetical scenario, both the trans man and woman have the exact same choice: get misgendered or get denied housing... Except a trans woman getting misgendered is framed as worse than being homeless while trans men should just like... Shut up and deal with it, I guess.
This is actually a really good example of an issue all trans people experience and should be able to relate to each other about, but these people are too busy sniffing their own oppression Olympics farts to think about what other types of trans people go through.

I haven’t pissed people off lately by reminding them that ALL types of physical punishment of kids has been proven beyond ANY reasonable doubt to have only negative long term outcomes.
So let me scream it from the hilltops:
Stop hitting kids. End of sentence.
If you think, “but I was hit and I turned out just fine” let me pre-reply: NO YOU DID NOT. You think hitting a child is ok, how the fuck does that qualify as “fine”?????? From one abuse survivor to another: please start healing yourself.

YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME TUMBLR
So annoying. So GD annoying.
Equivocating between "beaten with a stick" and "an open hand slap on the bottom" is the basis of all of these "findings" and is a good example of why social sciences are just propaganda wearing academia as a skinsuit.
Hey fucking abusive dumb ass fascist--if your misunderstanding here wasn't so high stakes (you're advocating for hurting kids Real Grade A You Should Totally Abuse Kids comment) how much you've misunderstood this research is almost comedy.
Let me help you: it's actually saying that it DOESN'T MATTER if it's "light" physical abuse....the outcomes are ALL NEGATIVE. That's the point. Outcomes = bad from all types of "corporal punishment." 100% NO positivity comes from hitting kids. Period. Point blank.
What you personally consider to be "tee hee cutesy just for kids it's so light and itty bitty abuse" doesn't matter.
Hitting your kids will harm them.
If you can reply so fundamentally "my head is up my own ass DEEP" in the face of an overwhelming amount of evidence against your views, there's literally nothing I can do for you and I wish you a very blocked.
Every day tumblr users get closer and closer to saying you can only be trans in a god honouring way.
i saw the most stupid take ever
someone was talking about how it's weird that their tmasc friend is uncomfortable using the men's restroom when they pass and this is an example of "afab privilege"
like gee i wonder why he would feel uncomfortable
it's almost like transmascs have the highest assault rates
it's almost like the discrimination/misogyny one has faced from not being born a perisex man doesn't go away simply from being trans and transitioning into a man
it's almost like going into spaces that were technically built for cisgender perisex men is subjecting yourself to more situations where abuse can happen due to not being born a perisex man
it's almost like the very idea of "afab privilege" being a thing is misogynistic in itself

Finding out that the author behind A Series of Unfortunate Events is a Jew makes the sheer absurdity of the incompetence of the adults in the Baudelaires’ lives make soooo much more sense when you start seeing Count Olaf as a metaphor for antisemitism. How they repeatedly tell whoever their current guardian is who and what is after them and they just patronizingly tell them that they don’t know what they’re talking about or choose not to see through the very obviously thin disguise (a metaphor for dog whistles). The gaslighting. The willful ignorance. It’s so painfully familiar.
month starting on a monday we have no excuse guys lets get to work and lock the fuck in
yk its actually very chic and avant garde to start on tuesday the second
many claim theres nothing more subversive and revolutionary than starting on wednesday the third
these miis are driving me nuts
Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle ❤️🩹🦅
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.

This post is like a fucking rosetta stone I've had the same theme song tagged in at least 6 languages so far
I have had violent urges, I have never acted on them. There have been times I've been very angry and the temptation has creeped in. I say I never would, but we never know what we're capable of until the right circumstances present themselves. I understand this so I have gone to therapy, I try to stay away from material that would desensitize me to it. I work very hard to manage these impulses with help on the off chance an opportunity could present itself where my inhibitions aren't strong enough to fight it. I understand that because this urge would affect more than just myself it is a problem.
We can't help that we were born with certain proclivities. It doesn't make us inherently evil or deserving of death. What we can do is try to manage them, understanding that we can say we are in control of ourselves, but that's true all the way up to the point it isn't. If those desires could endanger others it's important we manage them. No one should be threatened with death but they should understand its their responsibility to manage these desires with more than just your own willpower.
We should make space to support people with urges or desires that could affect others, I agree.
What we should not do is make a space where we act like this isn't the case. Most never act on it, sure, but someone will. Then we have a victim who will suffer terrible damage and we can't just wait to respond to hard AFTER it has been done.
What I can't abide is likening the stigma towards these desires to being trans or gay or queer or anything like that. Yes, society says or has said all those things are "icky" at one point and time, but that doesn't mean they're equal. Being trans or gay or queer is something that affects only you and can not harm someone else by living as who you are, these urges can.
To clarify this is related to the discourse going around about so many people discussing pedophilia and the fallout from ISFF and her supporters. I am attempting to speak calmly and with empathy and not jump to violent, knee-jerk reactions.
I'm very sorry you're all dealing with that. I understand it must be very hard having these urges, especially with the visceral and often violent way society reacts to it. But we can't act like that isn't a problem because for some, those desires can very easily become a reality. Our resources often fail victims of CSA and fail to address the actions of perpetrators in a constructive manner but that doesn't mean we should accept it being unmanaged. People often complain that police don't stop crimes they only respond to them and the damage has already been done and more often than not they just make it worse. Arguing against treating people with these desires is the same. Some day, someone with these desires is going to act and by that point they will already have victimized someone else. We need these desires to be counciled and managed. We don't need to promote them being put to death but we can't ignore it either. We can advocate for a means by which their desires and impulses can be managed. Not every societal standard or boundary is designed to oppress, sometimes it is there to genuinely try to protect.
This is as much ground as I am willing to give. Being a pedophile without managing your desires is unhealthy. If you're going to try to argue with me that there is nothing for you to do about it, you can just not engage. I will not argue my point further.
