Hot take : ShadowVanilla had no dynamic other than back-and-forth pacing, with PV begin naive idiot who tries to force SMC to see that "Ooh but I understand you, you're not alone, just pls don't do war crimes!!" and SMC torturing him and behaving like a retard, but in the back of his mind he just wants someone to understand him(Ignore the elephant in the room in the face of PV), and he's lonely and sad and all he needs to become a good person is for PV to endure his torture for a thousand more times, and maybe then, he MIGHT hesitate before ripping PV's head off. Literally, name ONE thing that changes between their relationship since the beginning of Beast Yeast and the end of Beast Yeast. Oh, I know : Their character sprites! Nothing else.

Anyway, that's all I had to yap about. Again, it's my opinion and how I see it, I'm not trying to talk down on anyone but devsisters' horrid writing here.

I watched it. It's so cute! All the yaos are trying to become celestials but are kinda silly while doing so. The weasel is my favourite, he's so talkative, yet so caring. It's bittersweet at the end, afterall, the deeds make the hero.

Everyone, I finished beast yeast chapter 15 and saw fans bringing up older stuff including the first chapter.

I just remembered that the true bodies of the five beasts are still trapped in the silver tree, with White Lily's magic sealing the crack.

This could mean that the other four beasts are still alive, just trapped.

The one thing I don't know is what's gonna happen for them. Would her magic be undone and the crack reopened? If so, what of Shadow Milk's true body? Can the soul jams of the four beasts do anything like they used to? Who's taking charge of the faeries, now that White Lily left without a successor?

This could become a SOMA situation where he is tormented by the personalities and memories from his three fellows, never truly alone. However, he will never experience true friendship and belonging from Silent Salt Cookie's life.

Although, imagine our Shadow Milk Cookie finding a timeline where a Silent Salt Cookie likes his version of Shadow Milk Cookie. He would have a stroke from it.

I think it’s dumb as hell to say the only reason Shadow Milk became the main villain is because he got so much attention. But at the same time i think it’s very fair to say the beast were treated unfairly.

like. from the start Shadow Milk has kinda always been presented at the quote unquote “main” beast. there’s a reason he’s the only one we see with Wind Archer. there’s a reason he’s the only one that appears in Beast Yeast 1 and 2. there’s a reason he’s the only one to actively acknowledge the witches.

BUT. at the same time, the beast were treated very unfairly. shadow milk got way, WAY more screentime than the other beast and I can totally understand people being frustrated at the lack of content. just because Shadow Milk is the “main” beats doesn’t mean the beast couldn’t have been done better. I mean, PV is also technically the “main” ancient but they still had a similar an amount of screentime most of the time.

like I fuck with main villain shadow milk and I think that was always the plan, regardless of whether shadow milk became popular. now, do I think it could’ve been presented or written better? ABSOLUTELY the other beast were neglected so much it’s actually depressing
