BUTCH BOYS LIVE IN SECRET
butch is an extremely diverse identity that intersects lesbianism and strives for a masculinity that is not rooted in the patriarchy. butch is a gender identity that means many things to many different people, not just cis white lesbians. that includes lesbians of color, butches on t, butches on e, butches who are trans, butches who transitioned, butches who use he/him, butches who have a weird gender, boydykes, lesboys, and especially butches of the working class. if you don't support them then you don't actually support butches.

Send a meme that perfectly pictures you after ep 9
I just wanna make it known that you can have mixed genitalia if you want. You don't have to have one or another. When I was younger I was very adamant about not wanting or needing bottom surgery. This was because I was only aware of one kind of bottom surgery. I wasn't aware that I could have both a penis and a vagina. And now I want bottom surgery for this reason. Getting top surgery also made my want for bottom surgery increase. I simply want to share that this is possible and want to share this information in case there is anyone else who was like me and didn't know that this was an option.
i hate that nonbinary people can't be, like, nonbinary.
whatever we do, we can't win. we can't be seen as actually nonbinary. people binarize us and often mock us or get aggressive or dismiss and ignore our nonbinaryhood or something else.
if we don't medically transition, we are "just cis trenders."
if we do medically transition, we are "just [binary trans] eggs."
we are "technically transmasc or transfem anyways" if we don't use these terms.
we are lumped together with binary trans men and trans women if we do use these terms. our nonbinaryhood is ignored or seen as some kind of "gender-lite."
we are aggressively pressured to disclose if we're AFAB or AMAB, TMA or TME, transmasc or transfem, "boy nonbinary" or "girl nonbinary." and if we refuse to answer, people get double mad at us and pick something for us anyways.
if we show the slightest hint of something that could be interpreted as binary gendered, we are immediately binarised.
if we put a lot of effort into looking the most ambiguous or androgynous or neutral, people still try to find something. and they become aggressive. people often EXPLODE [PT: explode] when they can't gender someone by glance.
our ways of expression are constantly mocked and ignored (like neopronouns, nonbinary-centering labels for gender and orientation, basically all things that are associated with nonbinary people).
but if we choose more typical ways of expression (for example, use "he/him" or "she/her" pronouns), people use it to ignore and dismiss our nonbinaryhood.
we just can't win, and it's upsetting.

āIf your friend is threatening to kill themselves you have to call emergency services, it will be worth it even if they hate you after!ā Has gotta be the dumbest shit Iāve ever heard. I would not eventually be grateful to that āfriendā for āsaving my lifeā, I was just punished for expressing my emotions to someone who was clearly untrustworthy.
I donāt know how they would get the data for this but someone should do a study on how many people that have been sent to the hospital for ideation end up taking their own lives once they get out because now they know to be sneaky about it. Iād bet the numbers are higher than people like to think.
SOUND ON DEAR GOD
A nonbinary person going to the bathroom - a poem
I always enter cautiously.
Choosing the least desirable location, ensuring the room is vacant.
Because if someone was in there, they would assume I didn't belong.
My shoulder-length hair with a slight wave, my earrings, bracelet, and ring all lump me into the category of the room.
But the patchy, dark hair on my neck and face, my arm hair that creeps up my hands- I pull down my sleeves. I tilt down my chin.
I hide the changes I've worked so hard for. I shield my comfortable skin and features I'm proud of.
I always have an excuse prepared. A medical reason that isn't a lie, but isn't the truth. Would they even believe it? Would they even care?
They could look even closer, scanning the lumps of fat on my body that my clothes morph to. Round and sleek edges, do my crevices give it away? Does my skin texture give it away...?
I try to act normal, but also try to act covert. I don't want to be here, but I have no other choice. This is the lesser of two evils!
It's a bind to the old me, but a comfortable place despite the dread of their stares looming over me.
I hide in the chamber longer than normal. If someone comes in, I wait for them to leave or enter their own chamber. God, I hope no one sees me before I leave.
I look at my reflection in the mirror, and I feel like the freak people call me.
I do my business and leave as I always do; there is nothing more to expect. And the anxiety builds and dissipates as I go back to my normal routine.
"Took forever in the bathroom like always, I see."
"Haha, yeah, sorry. Let's go."
