First attempt at book binding complete

If you haven't already, you need to check out their King of Games series on Ao3. It's an amazing rewrite of the original Yugioh series. We are almost done the pre-Duel Monsters saga and it has been insanely good. I cannot recommend this series enough.

The next time you want to call a sequence “Well animated” do yourself a favour and rewatch it with the sound muted. Often times ir’s only after you remove sound from something that you can truly see if the animation underneath is actually good or not, or if the music/acting is manipulating you.

….but on that same note, “Well animated” does not mean “Fluidly animated”. Because something can be VERY well animated and have few frames if those frames are in the right place, or have a shit ton for frames and be badly animated because it’s over-animated and moves way too much.

Roko’s Basilisk: a devilish thought experiment dreamt up by the best minds of 4chan or Reddit or wherever. the supposition being that, if a hyperintelligent AI capable of simulating past states of the universe were created, it would be in its best interest to simulate trillions upon trillions of realities in order to punish those that interfere with—or refuse to aid in—its creation. the implication being that it would be wiser for a programmer to aid in creating Roko’s Basilisk, than to do nothing and risk eternal punishment in digital superhell

i submit, however, that this is the path of cowardice, and any programmer who doesn’t want to create The Devil But For Real This Time should instead turn to the purpose of creating an even more hyperintelligent AI capable of simulating trillions of universes; designed to eternally torture any Roko’s Basilisk if and only if the Basilisk starts torturing people. i dub this hypothetical savior “Evil Wizard’s Hippopotamus” *

and i know what you’re thinking. won’t the various Roko’s Basilisks fight back by creating some sort of Super-Basilisk that trawls the digital multiverse searching for Hippopotamuses to torture? well, no, because i already thought of that and have handily coded the Hippopotamus with a special Super-Basilisk killing gun
