So I think it’s terribly cute that Syl has been reading and such. BUT let’s be real she’d run into *smut* books pretty quickly. Which I think she’d get an absolutely kick out of given how interested she is in human intimacy. You cannot convince me Alethi women aren’t hella repressed and have a huge pron subculture. They would have no reason to hide it because the men would never know (see where I’m going)

Another thing that Syl finds very interesting is making Kaladin embarrassed. Obviously she can’t yet carry books. A really easy way to research humans, play a prank on him, and terrorize the librarians who are giving her a hard time, would be to make him tag along to check out/carry those books. He would never ever know unless someone (his mom or shallan or Sig would be particularly funny) saw them and pointed it out. BUT THE LIBRARIAN. OH HO. Imagine. All Syl would have to say is like “oh thanks for the recommendation! We’ll have to read it later!” That poor lady would think some blue girl is outting her personal preferences to THE Stormblessed himself. Bonus points if it’s the lady he already embarrassed.

There's this scene in Wind and Truth where Kaladin is fretting and Syl takes his arm and concentrates on making imprints in his uniform with her fingers, and Kaladin sees that and smiles. Not only do they love each other, and look out for each other, and are fiercely protective of each other, they never back off from hyping each other up—they're each other's biggest cheerleaders, too...Syl in her loud, obnoxiously-cheerful way, Kal is his quiet, intense way.

Syl and Kaladin's bond is beyond all good things.
