"On the first day of spring, Wednesday March 20th, a new video releases called “the truth”. The video appears on all 3 channels. Phils, Dans, and the Gaming channel with individual thumbnails to compliment their “themes”. Despite being the same title, you watch curiously. Dans being cryptic, almost sinister. But that’s nothing new. You brush it off and click Phils. He’s being his boisterous and expressive self. You laugh faintly. You screenshot him smiling and post it on Instagram, just like normal. You head over to the gaming channel and click on their video. They’re both sitting holding Ribena drinks. “It’s true…” an unfamiliar voice says “they’re my product, my people.” The founder of the Ribena company walks into frame. “Assuming you watched their individual videos, I hope you cherished them. These two have been saying their goodbyes for quite some time now. You may have noticed with the hiatuses on their channels. While it’s true that they will be staying on YouTube, those videos will be the last regular programs you will see for a very long time. They’ve had their heads up for a while. However, I’m afraid it’s time to say goodbye to your two favourite people.” “We love Ribena!” Dan and Phil say one last time. The screen fades to a dark purple. Mourning them, you go to comment a sincere goodbye, you’re shocked to discover that comments are completely blocked, except for the word “Ribena”. You check their individual channels, no videos are left. No more memories, nothing except this stupid drink. You joked all this time, but the theories were true. Welcome to Danbena, and Philbena."
