Vaccines alone do not protect vulnerable populations; the more people around them that are vaccinated means that there are less chances of being exposed to the virus. Many vulnerable populations do not see a lower chance of infection, just a lower chance of hospitalization. The virus still wreaks havoc on their body and can cause conditions to get considerably worse.

Additionally, research into longterm effects of covid on healthy populations is still being done. We do not understand the full extent of the damage covid can do, but we do know that it does do damage in any person who catches it, regardless of age and prior health. There is brand new research that suggests it does damage on the cellular level, by punching holes in the mitochondria. Heart attacks and strokes in otherwise young and healthy people have skyrocketed since covid. More and more people are experiencing cognitive issues after more than one infection. By not protecting the entire population with vaccines, there is a guarantee that more of our population, particularly our workforce, will become disabled and unable to work.

We need to protect everyone from this horrible virus and the only way to do that without shutting the entire country down is through vaccines. This regulation CANNOT be relaxed if we want our country to have a functional economy in the next ten years.

i think that all of us should be doing all that we can to support the people in gaza. we have ways to help a population undergoing a genocide, it's best to use those.
