The most terrifying part of having memory issues is when you can feel something from 5 seconds ago be thrown out the window and there's an empty hole where it once was. You remember that you forgot something.

This whole series is so goddamn funny
can you lie on your character sheet if it’s funny
yes hello this is my character his name is…. Farmer Peasant…. his background is he is…. a peasant…. he HATES the tyrannical boy king, the concept of nephews, and sleeping on the ground. He was forced to flee his… village… after a failed attempt to lead a… people’s uprising against the wicked king. Now he travels with his faithful… farmhand… seeking some sort of magical relic that might allow him to restore… justice… once and for all… very painful justice…
his skills include
a full set of strong beautiful teeth
identifying fine perfumes
alternating between sloshing wine in a goblet and taking a bite out of a pheasant leg
farm stuff but it’s too complicated to explain
he is, um, a powerful wizard. no he doesn’t have any books or scrolls and he can’t pronounce the more technical magical words and never has to prepare his spells. but that’s because of his salt of the earth upbringing.
some regular farmers

I am VIBRATING with the possibilities of this!
It’s because she couldn’t get Jason aborted that she does off-book abortions. Surely.
Holy shit that take is fresh. Genuinely never occurred to me.
Black Comic Alliance Announces Stage 2: DCBlackout, Escalating Calls for Structural Change at DC Comics
The Black Comic Alliance, the collective of content creators behind the viral #DCSoWhite campaign, has officially announced Stage 2 of its advocacy movement: DCBlackout, a coordinated protest calling on readers, supporters, and content creators to withhold financial support and pause content creation tied to DC Comics publishing initiatives until meaningful structural changes are made around…
TEN in FIFTY years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[ID: Text that reads: "In almost 50 years, DC has only had 10 Black ongoing series in its mainline continuity, with only 1 surpassing 50 issues, and not a single [title led by a] Black woman. They constantly blame sales, but they're playing a game with the deck stacked against us. This needs to stop," said James Portis III, also known as JPenumbra. /End ID.]
Excerpt from the article for convenience:
What DCBlackout Calls For
The DCBlackout initiative outlines several coordinated actions for supporters and participants, including:
Posting on social media and calling for DC Comics to publish 1 to 3 new ongoing series for Black heroes in its mainline continuity, led by strong Black creative teams
Canceling pull list subscriptions for DC titles, including ongoing series, miniseries, and collected editions, until a Black-led ongoing is solicited and supported
Raising awareness about how digital sales are not valued the same as preorder single issues in industry decision-making
Demanding transparent, long-term investment in Black representation across publishing
Supporting Black creators through independent and creator-owned projects
Encouraging broader industry conversations around equity, visibility, and sustainability
I think a deeply underrated talent of Jason's is to get followers. As Red Hood he had goons and even a guy he dressed up as rh with the express purpose of him dying. Plus better ones he doesn't send to die. As Arkham Knight he had the milita and YEAH he was paying them and hiring whoever but sooo many were like invested in his cause and him and he had a group of close associates. And Morrison Jason couldn't exactly be a social media influencer villain without online followers. And whatever the fuck he was doing in Mother Panic with the lord Robin business. Why does he keep doing this. How does he keep doing this. Where do they go. He just keeps leaving them

jasons death is prevented by bruce being fed up with a justice system letting a sadistic criminal go because of wealth and decides to fix it on the spot. jason (traumatized from the cult) “uh batman you good?”

Please stop being nonbinary too. God only created one gender. You must conform to that.
THERES ONLY ONE NOW?????
"who do you self insert as when you read?"
This is me when I read:
One headcanon I've never understood among Batman fans is "Bruce Wayne can't cook." People like to point to him growing up with a butler as justification but 1 - I sincerely doubt Alfred would just do things without ever passing on any of his knowledge and 2 - Bruce is an incredibly intelligent man who has been adventuring all over the world on his own. If he can learn the mechanics of bomb defusal or the intricacies of the Nepali language (whatever the story calls for), he's clearly clever enough to master a tuna melt. What I propose is an adjacent but slightly more logical headcanon; he can cook, but doesn't cook well because he's so practical he doesn't care about what a meal tastes like. He's one of those really annoying "food is only fuel, I'm not gonna waste time and money on seasoning" guys. The kids won't eat his cooking because it tastes like being focused on combat after having your parents shot in an alley.
Batman and Green Arrow get stranded on an island for a day. Oliver catches fish and goes foraging for herbs and spices. Bruce hydrates a protein powder he keeps in his belt. Each of them judges the other heavily.
not all ships are For wanting them to be in a happy healthy relationship together. sometimes shipping two characters means you want them to be erotically obsessed with each other and become entwined in a mutually toxic love affair for a few months and then horrifically break each other's hearts and never speak again. sometimes you want them to be codependent best friends with enough repression to explode a submarine who only make out/have sex when they're at their worst. sometimes you want them to pine after each other for years, never say anything, and then die. sometimes you want them to kill each other. this, too, is shipping
it obviously makes sense, but one of my friend’s kids is going into swim class, and all the parents got an email today going, “when little ones are scared, they cling on to instructors. PLEASE trim their nails.”
i don’t know why that’s so funny to me, but just. the idea of this poor, scratched swim instructor having to make sure to email before each class as a reminder to please declaw the children SENT me.
When I taught swim lessons I remember trying to delicately ask parents not to cover their child in shea/coconut/olive oil before lessons.
“I understand your skincare regimen and wanting to protect their tender baby flesh from the pool chemicals, but COULD YOU NOT OIL YOUR CHILD LIKE A GREASED PIG before tossing them in the POOL? Thanks EVER so much!”
@nakimochiku i CACKLED
That swim instructor got what was coming to him. The parents should have joined in, honestly.
when brandon sanderson talks about villains in his famous free youtube writing class video lectures he'll say 'what's the difference between gollum and sauron' and of course he means the villain that's present in the narrative and characterized in a way the audience can potentially relate to or sympathize with vs. the looming threatening anonymous far-off force (among other things). but every time he asks that i think 'well one of those guys tracked down frodo and got his ring back'
Brandon Sanderson: What's the difference between Gollum and Sauron?
OP: Skill issue.
I was going to say I think it's kind of a shame that Rachel is the Animorph who died, since everyone else kept saying "Rachel's so in love with the war, she's not going to know what to do with herself when it's over" and it would be nice to see how that panned out for her. But it probably wouldn't have been that different than how we see the others spiraling, so now I'm wondering if this is one more way everyone pushed things onto Rachel. They had her do their dirty work and insisted she was the violent out of control one so they didn't have to look too hard at themselves, and they constantly commented that she wouldn't know what to do with herself once the war was over, so that they didn't have to think too hard about how they would handle it.
you have this superpower! BUT you have this side-effect
is it worth it?
yes!!
the side effect is bad but ITS WORTH IT
meh it's okay
the side effect makes it unusable/not worth it
Results/option I didn't think of
