Project Hail Mary is eating my brain like a bunch of worms. With that said, I want to yap about my ‘What if Blip-A survived AU’ I might eventually write about.

The whole premise is quite literally in the name. Rocky wasn’t the only Eridian on the ship when encountering the Hail Mary. But of course I can’t let the fix-it au fix EVERYTHING, so obviously some Eridians still died. The entire scientific team, to be exact. (Except I might throw Adrian into the ship and have them survive. I haven’t decided. But I love love love them. You can pry them from my cold dead HANDS.)

The whole reason I wanted the entire science to team to die isn’t just because 23 Eridians would be a lot to keep up with, and it’s not just for the angst either, but I wanted a reason for the Blip-A to still be around Tau-Ceti when Grace arrives. Rocky was there for DECADES beforehand, but with a complete ship of super genius’ they’d probably be there for a couple of earth months maximum.

But take away their science team, even with Eridians being so smart I feel like they’d just be sitting ducks. Which is where Grace who smart scientist space blob comes in.

Heres also a repeat of their names plus job descriptions just because:

I haven’t gotten a lot of the dead people’s names down yet, so ignore that.

Anyway, I don’t really have too much on the AU so far, other than the basic stuff, but still feel free to send some questions my way about it! Sometimes my brain needs some kind of inspiration or input to really get a fic/au going.
