I want to make something super clear: all of Brennan Lee Mulligan’s battles are to the death. It is kill, or be killed and that extends to the Rat Grinders.

I like them just as much as the next person but I knew they’d die. They’re amazing antagonists and it’s great that we like them but this is their fate. They were doomed the minute they chose Porter, and yes they chose him and to come back.

Lucy didn’t. It was painful but she didn’t.

The others did. They were doomed by the narrative the moment they got the mark on themselves.

If you think about it, it's kinda funny and not funny how Bruce has a hand in all of Jason's deaths, both directly and indirectly (from what I know at least)

Like, obvs his mistrust in Jason in the Diplomats son caused Jason to essentially find out Catherine wasn't his bio mum, and since he wanted someone who would love him, he went after to Ethiopia where his mother candidates were, and y'know how the rest of the story unfolds. So even if he wasn't the direct cause of Jason dying, he had a huge part in it (even the part where he put stopped Joker over finding his son who ran away and had signs of being suicidal, HUGE FUCKING RED FLAG). Like sure you can argue that Jason didn't actually 'die', but it's heavily hinted at it in the comics (I also made a drabble where comic ver is Jason's pov, and the movie is Bruce's pov, and the thing is, that it could be valid with how fucked up memory can get - I'll make another post about it lol)

Then, when Jason came back as RH, did the whole uth shenanigans and confront Bruce where in the comics he threw a batarang at Jason, hitting his neck/shoulder and left him to essentially bleed out as he stands like the emotionally constipated guy he is, instead of fucking rushing to Jason and trying to prevent him from dying. And it's hinted that Jason did die then, as we then see how Jason awoke from his grave and shit. So basically Bruce killed Jason, and even if you argue he didn't, he still left Jason to bleed out, which still indirectly causes him to die by not helping.

Then there's the part where Jason shoots Penguin point blank in rhato. Like Jason didn't die, but honestly it's hard to say that if Roy didn't intervene, Bruce wouldn't have killed him. Like with how injured Jason was, it's honestly shocking he did survive (albeit he had alien tech to help him heal).

And then there's fucking Gotham wars. So I haven't read it, but from what I know, Jason sacrifices himself to stop Zurr en ah, because Bruce fucked up and his alt ego he made as a backup got out of control. And I think there was a scene where Jason and Bruce were talking (without the other) and Bruce kinda said he'd 'sacrifice himself', and then Jason offered himself etc - I'm taking it as Bruce manipulating Jason so that he'd sacrifice himself.

And thus, because of Bruce, once again, Jason died.

And idk if Jason's died in other times (excluding else world and fanon), but basically all of Jason's deaths (+ one near death) has been related or caused by Bruce (directly and indirectly) - also if you consider Jason dying as red hood in any else world stuff because he introduced Jason into a life of vigilante, and I think that's saying quite a lot.

If Ada survives this arc (which I feel like is a certainty but you never know), I would love if she ends up with some sort of scarring from where her body is cracking and where that black substance is coming out of her body

okay I have reflected. I think we all had hopes and expectations for vol. 2 that weren't met and we are upset. I know I had hopes and was really upset (literally my post from a few minutes ago) but I got out of my head and what I hoped for. the coming out scene wasn't too bad. I still wish we had an intimate coming out first, but i get why it was the whole group. We still haven't seen Mike's pov nor what vecna really showed will, he is currently an unreliable narrator and probably full of fear!

no the show isn't perfect, but it isn't terrible either. majority of us are spiraling. we still have two whole hours left, don't fall too deep into doom and gloom! prepare yourself for the worst and hope for the best.
