Long story short, Rolin Jones, Assad Zaman and Eric Bogosian really kept heavily teasing us and getting us excited about Devil's Minion for two years straight, but when it was finally time to deliver, they really had Armand going "yeah basically I stalked you for 52 years and now I'm in love with you."

Like. They literally just... did that. No huge, shocking reveal. No flashbacks. No emotional impact. They really just... had Armand blurting it out. In a 2-minute-scene. With Armand and Daniel rapidly blabbering all over each other (as all characters do in this show at this point), eradicating even the tiniest bits of emotion that might have otherwise been present.

(absolutely no shade on Assad and Ebogo, it was obvious they were both genuinely excited and eager to adapt this storyline, and I really do think that, with the trash they were given for a script, this was the best they could have done)

yo since you're basically hussie jr now with how you mimic his artstyle almost flawlessly how many mspa characters you've drawn in it/what characters you'd like to draw? If i was you i would definetely draw the hell out of sollux or equius considering that the only times these bums got drawn was a simple sketch of sollux on a maplehoof and an extremely small equius that was featured in a drawing about the BADASS MECHA that he built (nepeta helped too)

Homestuck isn't my main thing when it comes to MSPA, though the earlier acts are MUCH better than what Snake Solutions churned out. Generally, I like drawing characters from Problem Sleuth and occasionally characters from other works by Hussie. Because I don't center myself on the most popular work, I'm what I can consider a "Hussian Traditionalist," even if such a pretentious term could be frowned upon by many.

I could draw Sollux and Equius in Husseloquent Mode (My name for Whistles and AID's art style), yet I'm too preoccupied or I'm just slacking off. So for now, here's a panelly accurate Homosuck'd version of a late 2000s meme including those two characters. And Sollux cracking a Tankman joke that's more euphemistic than the average Tankman joke.

since we reached a hundred-ish tsh followers I need to come clean

i love francis but he’s a coward, the relationships he creates is because he’s literally collecting people and he’s predatory the way a fox is. i can go on

i never liked camilla and maybe that’s because I don’t understand her and maybe im not supposed to but! if i see another moodboard with a deer in it i might pull a sylvia plath. she is not a victim, she is sickeningly intelligent person and the fandom is terrified of touching that dynamic let alone understand it. but by implying that charles forced her throughout the book to have a sick relationship (maybe at the end it was a tad noncon) is proof of how misunderstood he is and how convo got richard molded her character into someone innocent and above violence but she was in the bacchanal and she was in with the murder it was charles who was initially against it which we deliberate chose to forget

which brings me to my next point

charles was sexually assaulted as a child and he’s SO misunderstood it makes me want to pull out my hair. i know the complexities of human nature might come as a shock to some people especially with how every single type of media creates one dimensional characters and then categories them as either good of bad and we only accept morally grey if it’s fuckable — but hold onto your seats and call a trusted adult but people can be both and the ideas of good/bad not only are a human construct but are also inadequate and dare i say insulting when used to sum up a whole person

on another topic i would fuck julian for the sole purpose of disappointing myself and I don’t understand why no one backs me up for this when I know there are more who think the same

going back to being a hater

I can’t stomach richard and i think he’s maybe even worse than henry (?) bc he killed a man just for funsies and then proceeded with making money off the said murder. now when people give him grace I feel they rarely speak about how the psychology of leaving your fucked up, unsupportive, emotionally messed up parents for the first time to go to a college that seeks the idea of a very exclusive paradise. maybe it’s just my humble upbringing but I feel him. personal headcannon he might have slightly whitewashed himself and when we Francis or Charles or henry gave him a boner he hooked up with Judy to prove to himself he likes women.

also I don’t particularly care about that thought he had about camilla bc he was high, intrusive thoughts and all that. the real “sexual assault” if you will is taking away any human trait of hers throughout the book-you know all the details that proved she was an alive and breathing girl.

bun bun is probably in some degree all of the things richard said he was but the fact that he was tolerated in that circle of enlightened intellectuals mostly reflects on them.

lastly

i don’t care how insufferable it might sound but i see myself in henry the way you look at water and suddenly realise how alone you truly are. -that was uncalled for im going through some stuff.

so the Vecna fight scene was kind of anticlimactic? Nine years to build up five seasons. And Vecna was killed in like five minutes. Mad respect to Joyce for hacking his head off tho. I just feel like there was no tension or high stakes because everyone had too much plot armour.

Most anticlimactic love confession

It's in the title. I wanted to see something less emotional, just to see. Themes: gay, I guess

Henchman and Villain were sitting on the opposite sides of a rugged couch. The blue light emanating from the television was the only thing somewhat lighting up the dark smelly room they were in.

Henchman was texting things to Right-Hand and Sidekick, it was mostly dumb images and videos he had found on the web. Then one message caught his attention.

"Righty(the lanky one)

Are you ever goign to confess"

Henchman looked up, his gaze fell on his boss. The latter was half-spread on the couch, reading a paper. Why not confess now?

-Boss?

-Yeah?

-I'm gay.

There was a hesitation. It was loud because there was supposed to be a sentence there. Instead Villain answered:

-Congratulation.

It promised good news.

-I'm gay for you.

-Okay.

Villain didn't move from his spot, his eyes didn't even go on Henchman. The latter asked:

-Can I put my head on your shoulder?

His boss opened his arms. Henchman crawled to him and snuggled in his chest. They stayed in silence before Villain said, his grin evident in his voice:

-You know, for a moment I wondered whether I should tell you "Hello Gay, I'm Boss" or not.

Henchman answered, voice muffled in the warm chest in front of him:

-This is exactly why I'm gay for you.
