i just read ur tim cabin fic and WOWWW i adore adore the way you describe the feelings readers going through, especially the fear, uncertainty and dread. it’s so immersive and i felt like i was feeling those same emotions. it feels so realistic, especially the feelings of embarrassment and helplessness by the end. and the way tim’s true self peeks through but reader doesn’t think enough of it until it’s too late ahhhhh i love your writing so much 💝💝💝

Thank you so much for the kind words. It's always rewarding when I write a fic and it comes across the way I intended. I really wanted to convey the reader's feelings and thoughts more than focus on Tim, so that the story would feel a lot more personal. That said, I'm very glad you appreciated how his true self still managed to shine through!

My favourite part of writing that fic was actually near the beginning, when the reader never mentions staying at a cabin, yet Tim casually brings up the cabin anyway. It's the little things.

What hats would fit each member of the bat family?

Disclaimer: I don't know very much about hats.

For Alfred, a top hat, for obvious reasons.

Bruce would have a fedora that had once belonged to Thomas.

Kate has a military hat from her west point days that belonged to Sophie

Dick has one of those baseball caps with cup holders and a cheesy quote. No matter how much he denies it, he wears it to embarrass his siblings.

Jason also has a fedora. When he was a kid, he wanted it because Bruce had one, but now, he denies it having any purpose than for some of his more outlandish undercover jobs.

Tim has a black knit cap with pins from Panic! At The Disco, MCR, and other similar bands. It's from the beginning of his long lived emo phase. Now he just wears it to hide his hair so Alfred won't make him get his hair cut as often

Stephanie has a purple bejeweled beret. It was a gift from Cass.

Cass has a yellow bejeweled beret. It was a gift from Steph.

Damian borrows Bruce's fedora when no one's looking and he has a Robin beanie he inherited from his brothers. (It was Dick's first)

Harper made a motorcycle helmet that won't mess up her hair. (No, it isn't a hat, but she is very proud of it)

Duke has a red baseball cap with the Robin logo on it from his We Are Robin days. Rumor has it he had Barbra upgrade it with all sorts of cool tech.

Barbra has a bucket hat that turns into a cowl. She made it when she first became Batgirl for quick costume changes.

Ryan has a Gotham Knights baseball cap because it reminds her of Cora.

I just discovered your fanfics and I love your ficss about Timmm my precious baby boy!! Oh my God😭😭. I have been taking a break from this blog for a while and I accidentally clicked on it just to see your lovely ask and yup there goes my heart, melting. This is literally the sweetest compliment ever and it's been so long since I wrote a batfam fic so to see this put a smile on my face so thank you🤗🤗

And to answer your question, some of them definitely know and others are slowly coming to realize this decision Tim has made is likely permanent. I was actually working on a one shot (au connected) fic about Dick and Tim finally getting the chance to talk after everything that happened but sadly my writing mojo seems to have left my system and I couldn't get it off the ground. But hey, maybe I can give it a shot again😅😂.

Hey so sorry to bother you! I found your posts and Tim fics via a couple of different authors and have fallen in love with your writing! I was wondering if had an a03 account or a master list where I could find more of your writings easier? Thank you so much! I hope you and your loved ones are doing well in these crazy times 💕

No bother at all! Don’t worry about it. And you’re awfully sweet thank you :) I’m flattered to hear that you like how I write. Sadly I just recently got into writing batfamily fics (centered of course around my favorite character Tim), so while I have many short/very short snippets of fics around his character, the fanfics that I have written in full are only 8. 

I do have an a03 account. It’s allwalkfree, but my fics there are the same as here but put on private to avoid an incident that previously occurred. Anyways, if you do have an a03 account you can view them no problem, but if you don’t, I was planning on making a masterlist for all the fics I have here after all. Just haven’t had the time, so yeah.

Who in your ships is the musician and who can barely carry a tune?

Batfam: I'm starting with them cause I have an idea already for the ships

StephCass: Since Cass is the theater kid of this couple, I think it's more likely she can sing. Steph probably can't carry a tune at all, and I feel like she knows this. She makes a joke of it. Saying something like, "My voice is so beautiful the mere humans can't comprehend." The others have their fair share of comebacks for that.

Birdflash: Dick can do many things, but I doubt singing is one of them. He doesn't even try. Wally can sing but never sings anything but silly songs or songs to put Dick to sleep.

Jayroy; I think Jason is one that can sing. He doesn't often. However, he has been caught singing softly by Cass and Roy. Roy can't carry a tune but will still talk sing to Lian.

Jondami: I can see both of them being able to sing. Damian did have to teach himself because it didn't come naturally. Jon is a natural.

Timberkon: Bernard is the only one in this trio that can sing. He has a beautiful voice. Kon probably can rap. Tim can't carry a tune at all. He can barely hum.

The Mighty Ducks:

Banksway; I feel like Adam can sing. However, he gets extremely nervous, so his voice will crack. So he doesn't sing in front of people. Charlie would try so hard to sing, but it comes out more as screeching. He can talk-sing.

Gerreau: I think both of them can sing. They probably do very pretty duets together. Connie is the natural and Guy had to learn.

Wudoza: Kenny is very talented. However, he cannot sing. At all. He doesn't mind so much. Luis grew up around a lot of music and musicians, so music can naturally.

Tammy/Fulton: I feel like Fulton is the singer. I could see him having a very deep baritone. Tammy has tried singing, but it isn't easy for her. Therefore, she doesn't try. It's not worth her energy.

In your ships, who's the instigator of most romantic interactions?

Thank you for the ask! Side note I love the title of instigator cuz it sounds devious. Anyways let's go into my ships.

THE MIGHTY DUCKS:

Banksway: I think Charlie is the one who instigates most of the Romantic interactions. He's just used to being the leader. So it comes naturally. Adam can take the lead, but I think it's only in certain situations. Like if he's drunk because I headcanon him as the promiscuous drunk.

Wudoza: I think these two are pretty evenly matched when it comes to who initiates the affection. I do think Luis does so a little bit more. However, that just because he is more extroverted in terms of affection.

Gerreau: It is 100% Guy. Now, this doesn't mean that Connie doesn't instigate any romance. However, I feel like Guy is much more comfortable asking for the romance than she is. However I think he can read her really well so she doesn't really need to ask.

Tammy/Fulton: I totally believe that it's Tammy. She strikes me as somebody who is very strong-willed and will push for what she wants. Therefore, she is in the type of girl to wait for somebody to give her affection. Instead, she probably just walks up to Fulton and grabs his arms and makes him hug her. It's adorable, too.

THE BATFAM:

Birdflash: I can see it being both of them. As fair as the batkids go, I think Dick is the most open about his feelings. Therefore, I don't think he would ever struggle to instigate affection if he wants it. Wally also strikes me as somebody who is more interested in showing rather than telling.

Jayroy: I 100% believe it would be Roy. It's not that Jason can't be affectionate or instigate affection. It's more he doesn't really know if it's appropriate. He hesitates for fear that it will be the wrong time. Where as Roy has limited self-control and has been known to cling to Jason just because Jason was frowning a little more than usual.

Timberkon: Anyone but Tim. I say this because I feel like Tim is the most doubtful of himself. Therefore he wouldn't really want to risk looking ridiculous by instigating anything. So he just kind of waits for everybody else to lead and he follows along. It's a nice little break for him since he has to be a leader in other parts of his life.

StephCass: It's Stephanie, I fully believe it is Stephanie. Nothing against Cass, but due to her upbringing, I think she's very hesitant to initiate anything. Therefore, I think Stephanie would be the one to set the tone and lead. It also allows Cass not to have to analyze movements and to just go with the flow.

Jondami: I'll be honest. I don't think either of them are good at this. However, given his personality, I think Damian would be more likely to initiate affection than Jon. Not that Jon is an affectionate it's more so that he is very self-doubty. Where as Damian knows who he is and knows what he wants and will take what he wants. I mean, this is the person who wanted to take down the other Robins to assert himself as the best. I don't think he would ever struggle with initiating romance. He might not do it in a normal way, but I don't think he'd struggle with it

Batfam:

I'm not gonna lie my first thought was Alfred. He probably needs it for stress, and he is elderly so he could totally obtain a medical Marijuana card. It is funny thinking about Alfred being baked. However, the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. My second option was Tim. He just gives me the vibe of functional stoner.

The Mighty Ducks:

Now, this one I actually thought of a few people right away. I could see Portman or Averman smoking Marijuana. However, I think the biggest stoner would be Karp from D1. He just seems to have that air about him.

Thoughts on each members of the Batfam besides Helena Bertinelli? (Bruce, Alfred, Dick, Barbara, Jason, Tim, Cass, Steph, Damian, Talia al-Ghul, Selina Kyle, Helena Wayne, Kate Kane)

Don’t expect long walls of text, because I don’t know as much about all these other characters. Just a note, I don’t consider Talia or Selina part of the Batfam because they’re villains. Here we go:

Bruce: I like him. He’s my second favourite after Helena. I used to be a huge Bruce Wayne fan before I found out about Helena and the fact that they’re so similar really drew me to Helena. I like Bruce in general. I dislike it when he’s portrayed as super grim, though. And yes, he can be an asshole at times, but he does atone for his crap.

Alfred: I don’t think anyone can dislike Alfred. I like him, I like his loyalty and dedication to the family. He’s super smart, super talented. Really great character. He could have his own solo series.

Dick: He’s alright. Not my favourite, but I don’t dislike him either. I hate fanon Dick. He’s the worst. Canon Dick is great, though. Sucks that he’s so mischaracterized so often. One thing I don’t like about him is that he seems to be ashamed to have his own likes or dislikes because he wants to fit in with Babs or Bruce.

Barbara: I hate her.

Jason: He’s an interesting character. I liked him in Red Hood Lost Days. I don’t know enough about him, but so far I like him. Hated him in Battle for the Cowl, though.

Tim: Best Robin ever! I love him. I love how smart he is, how he was pretty much Helena’s first friend as far as Batfam goes. He’s the least judgemental of them, too. He always sticks up for the people he cares about. Great guy. 10/10.

Cass: Don’t know much about her. She’s alright, I guess. I hate how writers try to pit her against Helena a lot. Super unnecessary.

Steph: 2nd best Batgirl after Helena!!! I love Steph. She’s amazing and she’s super badass and still hopeful and overall great. I want her and Hel to team up and have like a mentor/trainee relationship. She’s just amazing!!!

Damian: Can’t stand him. Not as bad as Babs, but he seems super arrogant and for no reason. Like there’s heroes more powerful than him and they don’t show off. He’s just a brat.

Hel W: She’s starting to grow on me lately. Can’t stand what Levitz did with her in the New 52 with the whole pretending to be Bertinelli and all that. I still think her character is a bit bland, though.

Kate: Don’t know much about her, but I like her from what I’ve seen. She’s loyal and a pretty awesome character overall.

Talia: I can’t get it out of my head that she raped Bruce. I know that’s ooc and all that, but I just can’t shake that off and I can’t look at Talia without feeling disgusted because of that. Also, don’t really know anything else about her. I’ve seen her in a few animated movies and didn’t really feel anything one way or the other about her.

Selina: I like her sometimes. I don’t like her with Bruce, though. When she’s not shoved with Bruce, she’s a pretty cool character on her own and I do enjoy reading about her. I like her team-ups with Helena for the most part and I think she has a very interesting personality.
