I need to point out how strong Hisagi actually is based on his fight with Driscoll.
Hisagi faced an opponent who killed Sasakibe, a lieutenant recognized to be a captain level. This opponent was around 100 times stronger than state he was in his previous fight against Sasakibe.
Despite that, he withstood the fight and remained standing on his own two legs long enough, from the start of the invasion till Yamamoto interfered.
Also he was the only lieutenant to face a sternritter without his captain. (there was Izuru too but you know how that went. I think he would have done better in his fight but he was taken by surprise 🥲)
