THE ARROWS

as voted by you lot, Ollie is not a bird or bat which worsened his relationship with Roy early on leading to Roy’s poor preening and wingcare habits. Luckily for Connor and Mia, ollie learned his lesson the second time around.

All of the arrows are birds of prey as unlike the bats they all focus on the same skill set of archery, leading me to specifically seek out raptors known for their hunting traits.

This panel is everything to me and so allow me to break down everything that is sending me.

Going from left to right

1) What the fuck is Roy’s “tasty omelette surprise”? I’m not the only one concerned about this, Cissie is also confused. Omelettes aren’t really a “surprise” food I feel like omelettes are fairly transparent on what is in them based on first taste. Clearly based on Cissie’s reaction, this is not the case with Roy’s Tasty Omelet Surprise.

2) Emiko and Conner bonding over Conner pushing Damian off a cliff, I’m ngl the fact that 3 people in this family all have beef with Damian is fucking hilarious, now I need to see Lian and Damian interacting cause something tells me that beef is intergenerational

3) Lian had to have learned how to be this out of pocket from Mia because “when did you start drinking coffee” “idk probably when I got blown up” is crazy considering that Mia almost killed a man out of guilt over that but honestly serves her right cause she would pull the shit on Oliver all the time

4) I’m not done with this Tasty Omelette Surprise, why does he have a name for it? Did he come up with that on a fly or has he been mixing random shit in an omelette and serving it to people for a while? Did the teen titans have the Tasty Omelette Surprise? Did the outsiders? The outlaws? Has Jade had the Tasty Omelette Surprise? No one in the family seems confused about it except for Cissie making me think this is a common meal for him to make. Is Tasty Omelette Surprise to Roy as Chili is to Oliver?

The Bats are confused and hurt and sad.

That is Tim, their Tim, smiling, laughing, talking with the Arrows. And not in the "Drake-Wayne heir" he does when he is at galas. No. This is the real him. Timmy.

Apparently not their Tim, though.

"Can somebody, for the love of God, EXPLAIN?" Well, Jason was not known for his level-headness. But it did get Tim to look at them. Because he wasn't. Because he didn't know they were there. Because he doesn't want them there.

"Oh. Hi guys! Why are you here?"

"Well-"

"We heard that you were in the hospital, dear boy. We came as soon as we could." Alfred stepped forward. "Is everything alright, master Timothy?"

"Yeah, I just zoned out and didn't see the car. Nothing serious. I have been checked over, I just needed for my legal guardians to come and sign the paperwork so I could leave. This works out great, because honestly I was going to Star City tonight with them." Alfred nodded at that and took a step back, no matter how much he wanted to go to his grandson's the young master's bedside.

"I thought Pennyworth is your emergency contact." Damian stated, though it sounded more like a question.

"Why?"

"Well," Damian's face started to heat up, "I am aware that you relationship with Father is strictly professional, with Grayson is non-existent, with Todd is better but not by a lot, you're not really on the best terms with Brown and you consider Thomas as much as your younger brother as me and I have noticed that while you tellus when you are injured it is only when you have started healing so we would not worry as much. So that leaves Pennyworth and Cain. "

Tim nodded. "You are not wrong. But you don't have all the pieces of the puzzle. Considering the Queens are family, those three, along with Mia (Dearden) and Conner(Hawke), are my emergency contacts. Then there is my team. If they cannot be reached then there is Cass, the Jean-Paul and Kate and then Alfred."

"This still isn't an explanation, baby bird. I know we aren't as close as before but-"

"Were we close, though Dick?" Dick paled at that and opened his mouth but closed it when Tim lifted his hand to stop him. "You told me you would never have another younger brother after Jason. Yes, at one point you started to act as if you care, but that was to assuage your guilt. Nothing else." That seemed to shut Dick up entirely. The Waynes did not know what to say. Tim sighed. "I guess I do owe some kind of explanation though."

"You don't owe the anything." Conner spat.

"We work with him! He IS family! To keep this from us- " Jason was starting to get angry.

"He kept nothing from you, baby. " Roy said with a sigh. "I kept the identity of my younger brother from you and that is on me, but the fact that he is a Queen-Lance is public knowledge. I am surprised that you did not learn this when you were basically stalking the new Robin when you got back."

"Then we would like to know. Excuse Todd and his demands."

"Yeah, well so, you know my parents weren't the best."

"Understatement of the century."

"Shut up, Mia. So anyways, Ollie knew that, so he always showed up at galas they were expected to be, becuse he knows that no one in thier right mind would let their child go to one of these, so he was there to make sure I was alright. So, you know, we got close, I met Dinah, Roy... They just felt like family. More so than the Drakes, so eventually I visited Star City more often when my parents were out of town and came back as soon as I saw that they had bought tickets to fly home, so they never really knew I left. The Zeta-tubes helped a lot. It helped that I figured that Dad is the Green Arrow, so they had one less thing to worry about. I often run their comms too. Kind of like O. When I was 11 they publicly offered my biological parents to... look after me while they were always, which we kinda spun as a good business opportunity, so they agreed. At the same time the offered to adopt me. Legally, just not publicly. I am not sure whether the Drakes even knew."

"That is it?"

"Basically. We publicly announced my adoption when my mom died. During the Bruce-quest I kept in contact, otherwise they would have grounded me until the end of the century. They helped with Ra's. Lost their shit when I went no-contact when I was with the LoA. Now theythink that just because I don't have a spleen I can't take care of myself so they keep nagging me, I split my time between Star City and Gotham... That is pretty much it."
