Okay, so my theory is that character on the original cover of the book is the one who is the person who brings a plot twist that knocks every off their feet near the climax

City of Bones - Jace being valentine's son
City of Ashes - Clary destroying Valentine's ship
City of Glass - Sebastian being, well Jonathan and him not being valentine's puppet but evil on his own
City of Fallen Angels - Simon following Lilith's orders for clary
City of Lost Souls - Clary stabbing Jace
City of Heavenly Fire - Clary stabbing Sebastian
Clockwork Angel - Will telling Tessa he only wants her for sex
Clockwork Prince - Jem proposing
Clockwork Princess - Tessa turning into an angel
Lady Midnight - Emma finding out about Kit/ breaking Julian's heart (take your pick)
Lord of Shadows - Haven't read in a long time but I think him bringing Anabel and everything going to hell
Queen of Air and Darkness - Anabel saving Ash in Thule and then ash and Janus coming to this world ( I know Janus brought Ash to the Seelie Queen but he only was able to because of Anabel)
Chain of gold- Cordelia telling everyone that James spend the night with him.
Chain of Iron - Lucie raising Jesse from the dead and running away to Cornwell
Chain of Thorn - Well Grace is on the cover so hopefully she will be the one to kill Tatiana. Like I have said before Grace killing Tatiana skillfully with some weapon (hopefully the blackthorn sword) is poetic justice in my eyes and I am here for it.
